the gods, for thou hast stumbled upon a most wonderous place: the Vale Realm of
Afterin. On behalf of our young queen Mystra, and her sister Beautress Jade, be
easy, and enjoy thy time here.
Afterin is a world apart from everything you have ever known
in the "Real World." Or perhaps it isn't... but let's not discuss the nature of
reality just now. There's plenty of that on the philosophy page.
But what
sets Afterin apart is that it isn't just a place. It's all around you. In your
imagination, your dreams, even your thoughts. It has its own language, its own
customs, culture, even its own system of logic. And it definitely has its own
peculiar sensibilities. Just ask any Puritan. If you can still find
one...
You might have been in Afterin before, you may even unknowingly be a
part of it. To answer this mystery, the rulers of Afterin have used their
formidable *coughcough* intellect to devise a most comprehensive test (see the
Joining page.)
But if you are content to merely wander about for the present
thou art free to do so. But be forewarned: to the uninitiated, and especially to
Puritans, Afterin can be shocking, astounding, bewildering, and occasionally
*gasp of horror* Thought Provoking. But not too often. We promise.
