Rules and FAQ for the REC CENTER

Welcome to the Rec Center. This is where you can post your drawings, pictures and Spongebob fan fics. Though the content of the art here is mainly for Spongebob, other types of art are welcome so long as they do not include any sexual content.

1. Fan Fics

Fan fics are most welcome, but round robin stories are best kept to Robot Pirate Island which is for round robin stories and RPGs. An example of a round robin story would be were you start a sentence and leave it for the next person to finish:

"Spongebob was walking on the beach and stepped on a...." These are not fan fictions.

2. The prefered way to post art.

It's easier if we can see your picture in the post. Posting a url means we have to leave the board or open another window. No fun, post your art in the post unless it is completely impossible.

3. How do I place art in my post?

You have to use the ezcode for pictures: Be sure you have your picture uploaded to a server that allows file sharing or you'll get a red X in the post. This means you can view the pics away from your web site. Also be sure that your pics end in .jpg or .gif. Something ending in .html will not work.

4. Scanning and resolution size.

When you scan your pics be sure that the resolution is set to 72. It shouldn't be higher than 100. Pics that are scanned at over 100 are just too big, both in size and file size. If your pic is 1MB then it is WAY TOO BIG and takes us forever to download. Few of us have the patience. So when you scan your drawing be sure to check and see what resolution it is set to.

5. Art exchange.

Art exchange can be a lot of fun. This can be requests for a drawing, or putting up a black and white and having other people color it for you or taking turns coloring things. Because of the No Right Clicks Java we have on the board that makes it hard for thieves to steal images, this will make art exchange difficult. There is a way around it though. Put your pic up like normal, and under it type out its url so your friend can save it. If you want the url to be a link you have to type out the html for the pic and link because Ezboard won't allow a link once you've made a pic with the Ezcode. Dumb, I know. Here's how to do it:
