In a magical land far, far away, lived a ring of Faes and Elfins who lovingly called their home the "Enchanted Secret Glade". It was a beautiful little nook in the middle of the dark and mysterious forest that surrounded the Land of the Sisters of the Golden Moon. The sunlight filtered through the tall redwood trees down to the woodland floor and shone on the tiny mushroom houses growing in a circle in the small clearing. At the edge of the Glade there was an Old Oak Tree gnarled with time and dripping with morning glory vines, which in the Summer were as blue as the azure sky above the canopy of trees. Behind the mushies, from just over the hill, came the subdued and tranquil sound of water meandering over the rocks and stones in the babbling brook.
This little nook in the forest was a mystical place and was inhabited by tiny colorful fair and elf folk. The sound of their laughter often filled the air but was often mistaken, by the humans that occasionally wandered this way, as birds singing or bees buzzing. Every so often a human would catch a glimpse of the Wee Ones, who were very adapt at blending into the forest. But the humans thought they had perhaps seen an usual feathered bird or an iridescent winged butterfly. The Gladlings lived in harmony with the forest creatures and lived fairy tale lives.
Mornings in the Glade began peacefully as the Sun's rays peeked amound the tree tops. In the middle of the Glade a small fire made of twigs and dried moss glowed under a simmering kettle of hot cocoa. One by one, the little bamboo doors on the mushies opened and the Wee ones, rubbing sleep from their bloodshot eyes, slowly staggered and stumbled to the little circle around the fire, taking their places on the miniature toadstools. From one of the mushies, clanging kitchen noises could be heard, as well as soft singing. Golden Fairy opened her door and carried a tray of freshly baked croissants and a jar of huckleberry jam to the circle, serving each of her sisters. Each little sprite sat sipping hot cocoa and nibbled on the warm croissants dripping with jam. The Glade was peaceful in the morning's mist and the Faes and Elfins sat eating their breakfast in comfortable silence.
