Harry Potter

The Harry Potter series is written by J.K. Rowling Murray (that's 'cause she's married now to a Dr. Neil Murray). They are magical and enchanting books which seems to have you bound to them! No matter how many times you read them, you won't get bored. The books are mainly based on the life of a boy, Harry Potter, who doesn't know that he is a wizard 'till he's eleven years old. After that, the books revolve around Harry's school life. He doesn't go to an ordinary Muggle school but attends 'Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry'. As his school commences he makes friends as well as enemies. He has had four encounters with He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named until now i.e. until the Fourth book. The Fifth book may come out in June, 2002. A movie, based on the first book, was recently made and now they are working on the second. Well that's all for the Harry Potter book series (please do visit our Harry Potter page for more).

Lord Of The Rings

The Lord of the Rings:The Fellowship of the Ring is a great novel written by J.R.R. Tolkien. The book, along with others, revolves around a ring which must be destroyed for if it's master finds it, the world will end. Frodo Baggins inherits the ring from his elderly cousin, Bilbo Baggins. It is now upto Frodo to destroy the ring before it's master destroys them all! A movie was also recently made, based on this book, and it is marvelous. Quite as much enchanting as Harry Potter, but one can never compare the two. They are in their own way excellent. This book is recommended for people over 14 years.

Generation Girl

This book, written by Melanie Stewart, is about the life of a group of six girls. They are Barbie, Ana, Chelsie, Tori(Victoria), Nichelle and Lara. These best buds live in New York city and attend Manhattan International High School. This book speaks of the girls of today. So all you generation girls out there don't miss it.

Anne Of Green Gables

This book is written by Lucy Maud Montgomery. The story goes like this. A farm couple want to adopt a small boy to help them around the house.But accidently they are sent a small girl. This girl is very hyper and just contrasts with the people of quiet Avonlea. But soon people realise what a very special girl they have in their midst. It is a special book about friendship, duty and love.
