Free video game downloads You know what video game systems are, right? Like Nintendo, Sega, Atari, Playstation, etc. Well An Emulator is the same as the actuall system. Except that unless the game is in disk form or you have an adapter to play the games, you will need Rom's. In short, an Emulator is a way of your conmputer emulating a video game system so that you have the capability of playing your favorite games on your computer.
Rom's are the games you use to play with an Emulator. They are usually small in size. Now not just any Rom can go on any emulator. You have to make sure that you use Nintendo Rom's for Nintendo Emulators, Sega for Sega, so on and so forth.
Dont get scared away now, but there can be an illegal side to downloading and using Rom's. It is only illegal to posses Rom's for more than a 24 hour period. ""UNLESS"" You own a copy of the game at home. The Emulators are entirelly legal to posses on their own. Like I said, Rom's are entirely legal if you own a copy of the game already.
