DISCLAIMER: I do not own Sailor Moon and the characters of Sailor Moon. I also do not own any song that I have used in my fanfic. I do, however, own my ideas and the ideas of the few characters that I have created. I just combined my ideas, Sailor Moon and a few songs to make up a story.

This is one still one of my earlier works *blushing* Hope you like it anyway! It would be sometime after "The Guardian of the Universe".

****************************

Ariel just got back from taking a difficult exam in school. I do hope I aced that test. I studied so hard, she thought as she entered Golden Sounds, the music shopped she worked and lived at. There was a message for her from Serena and Darien at the front desk. She read it aloud and smiled, “Ariel, I came to see if you wanted to go to Raye’s temple with us later tonight. We’ll talk to you soon. Love, Darien and Serena.” She folded the little note and put it in her pocket. Gosh, I love those two. I am so glad I finally found my twin brother and made peace with Serena. She smiled again and stopped to listen what song was playing on the radio. It was Elton John’s “The One.” One of my favorite songs by my favorite singer.

Ariel was about to go to her room to drop her books off when she noticed Glenn, the owner of the shop, with another young man, about her age, with pitch black hair. Hmm...He’s kinda cute..I’ll go introduce myself. Maybe he is looking for something, Ariel thought as she walked over to the two men. She shifted her bag to her other shoulder.

“Ahh...here she is. Just the person I wanted to see,” Glenn said to her. I wonder how she is gonna take this news, he wondered. “Peter, this is Ariel. She brings life to this place. She works for me and lives here as well.” Ariel smiled and shook his hand. She had noticed his dark brown eyes. They seemed kind and loving. “Peter here is our new employee. He loves music. He loves to sing and dance. He is gonna be our greatest performer yet.”

Ariel’s heart suddenly sank. This guy is gonna be our best performer yet? What about me? Do I not count anymore? She felt tears welling up in her eyes. Is Glenn trying to replace me? How could he? After all I have helped him with. “I have to go, Glenn. I’m sorry. Uh...nice meeting you Peter.” She turned around and walked to her room.

When Glenn heard her close the door, he told Peter, “Ariel is in fact, the best. She is a competitor. She’ll probably try to even harder. I’m being honest to you right now. She loves this place and she will never give up her place here to anyone. She is dedicated. I hope you’ll be able to handle it, and her.” Glenn looked over to Ariel’s door. I think I blew it now. I didn’t mean to hurt her feelings. Ariel is the best. She has proven herself to me time and again as an employee, a friend, and even a daughter. Oh...

Glenn’s thoughts were interrupted by Peter’s remark. “She is beautiful.”

“Excuse me? What did you say Peter?” Glenn asked to make sure he heard correctly. He looked at the young man.

“I said she is beautiful,” Peter repeated. “I think it’ll be worth all the hard time she gives me. I’d like to get to know her.” Peter smiled. I’m gonna have to try to impress her. Somehow...someway. Glenn noticed the smile on the young man’s face. “She is a stubborn one. A very stubborn girl. But she has a huge heart. She’ll help any of her friends at anytime with anything.” He noticed Peter turned to look at him.

“Hmm...do you know what her favorite song is?” Peter asked the old man.

“Ha ha...I don’t think she’ll be able to narrow that down. She loves a lot of songs by different artists. But her favorite singer is Elton John...if that can help,” Glenn told Peter. This is going to be interesting. Our new employee is interested in my sweet Ariel. Hmmm...I don’t know what’s gonna happen. Ariel is really into finding her destined love. He gave Peter a quick look. He noticed he had a confident look on his face. Maybe I’ll just let things happen. I’ll just keep an eye on them from a distance. Besides, Ariel has always come to me for help. If she needs it, she’ll come get it.

“Elton John? Hmm...” Peter said quietly to himself. I’m gonna have to do some research and find the perfect song of his for her. He turned to Glenn. “Hey, I’m gonna go out for a little while. I’ll be back, okay?”

“No problem, my boy, no problem. You take your time,” the man told him. “Enjoy!” He smiled to Peter as he walked over to his desk to sit down. Peter had left and Ariel was in her room. Glenn put his hand over his heart. He winced in pain. There has been a pain in his heart for days. He didn’t say anything to Ariel because he didn’t want her to be worried about him. She did enough for him anyway. The pain grew stronger and he bent over and put his head on the desk. God, please take this pain away for now. I understand if you want to take me, but just please let me be here for Ariel...at least until she finds her love. Please? After a moment, the pain ceased and Glenn was able to sit back in his seat.

*****************************

Is he trying to replace me? This can’t be happening! Glenn? What are you doing? Ariel’s emotions overcame her and she began to cry. After a few moments, she began to calm down. She trusted Glenn. He would never hurt her on purpose. There surely must be a reason for this. I guess Glenn’ll tell me when he wants to. This has been the most emotional time of my life. First, I find my twin brother. Second, I finally have regained my friendship with Serena and the others after such a long time. And now, this? I wish I knew where my destined love is. I want to be with him so badly. She sighed. Where was her Galactic Prince?

Ariel’s mind wandered a bit. She had a daydream of her and her prince walking along the rose gardens at the palace of his galaxy. Suddenly, the daydream was interrupted when her prince turned into Peter! Ariel gasped. What’s going on? No...I think I had too much of different emotions today. That’s why his face showed up in my thoughts. Ai yi yi!

She remembered the note in her pocket. It was evening already. She picked up her small black purse and left her room.

She noticed Glenn sitting in his chair. She walked over to the old man, who was like a father to her. He looked up at her. “I am sure you know what I am feeling right now, Glenn. I was really hurt by you saying he is gonna be the best. But, for some reason, I have a gut feeling and I trust you.” Ariel noticed the look of relief on his face. She smiled. “I’m going out for a little while. I’m meeting Darien and the girls at the temple.” She bent down and kissed his head. “You take care. I’ll see you later, Glenn.” She smiled and waved as she began walking to the door.

“Bye Princess! Be careful!” Glenn told her as he winced at the pain that was slowly returning to his chest.

**************************

So...she likes Elton John, huh? Hmm...she is really worth it. He was in line at the music store in the local mall. He found seven Elton John CD’s. She is really worth it. I have to get to know her more. Although the time when we were introduced was little, it felt right though. Hmm...oh, well. I am gonna impress her somehow. He paid the cashier and took the receipt. Peter was satisfied with his decision. He put the bag in his backpack and walked back to the music shop. Glenn had given him one of the rooms at Golden Sounds.

As he walked out of the mall, he noticed Ariel walking down the block. What is she doing out walking alone when it is dark already? He thought. He decided to follow her just to make sure she got to wherever she was going safely. Once I see that she is safe, I’ll go back to the shop.

Peter followed her to the temple. He saw her enter the building and was about to get closer but two crows began cawing. He looked at the two creatures and left. Well, at least she made it here safely, he thought. Oh, well...I’m glad those two crows stopped me. I have plans to make. He smiled and walked back to Golden Sounds.

The walk took him a few minutes. Peter opened the door to find Glenn at his desk with his head down. For some reason, Peter panicked. Oh no! “Glenn? Hey, Glenn? Are you okay?” He knelt by the old man at the desk.

“Oh, yes, son. I’m okay...just tired,” Glenn answered as he winced in pain. “Peter, could you help me to my room? I think I am too tired to make it there myself.” The old man lied, covering the pain he felt by claiming he was really tired.

“Sure thing, Glenn. No problem.” This isn’t good. He is in pain and doesn’t want to show it. Peter took a hold of Glenn and helped him to his room. Glenn lay on his bed and pulled the covers up.

“Peter? Would you do me a huge favor?” He looked over at the young man with eager eyes.

Peter looked at him. “Would you mind waiting up for Ariel to come home? She went out a little while ago. I usually wait for her to get back, but I am too tired. I don’t think I’d be able to stay up. Would you do me that favor?”

Peter smiled and nodded. “Of course I will. Now, you get your rest. I’ll stay up for her. I’ll sit at the desk, okay?” He bent over and kissed the old man on the forehead. Before long, the old man was sound asleep. Peter walked out of the room and closed the door behind him. Poor Glenn, he thought. I hope he gets better soon. I’ve only been here barely one full day and he already has made an impression on me. I’ll take care of you...and Ariel. He smiled as he went over to the desk and sat down. He looked at all the CD’s that he bought and made a list of all the songs he had heard and a list of the ones he hadn’t. When he finished, he put his list and the CD’s away and just sat back and thought.

Why is this girl so important to me all of a sudden? I don’t know. All I know is that I am going to get to know her better. Peter smiled and he began daydreaming of him and Ariel walking together down the paths at the rose gardens in town.

***********************************************************************

“Hey guys! I’m sorry I didn’t get here sooner,” Ariel said as she walked in. Everyone was there. Mina, also known as Sailor Venus, was sitting on the floor petting Artemis, her white guardian cat. Lita, a.k.a. Sailor Jupiter, was sitting next to Mina. Amy, a.k.a. Sailor Mercury, was sitting at the table petting Luna, Serena’s guardian cat. Raye, a.k.a. Sailor Mars, was also seated at the table eating some chips. Serena, Sailor Moon herself, had her head laid on Darien’s, also known as Tuxedo Mask, leg. Darien smiled at his twin sister as Ariel made her way around the room giving hugs to everybody.

“So, Ariel? How was your day?” Darien asked her as she sat down near him.

“Yeah...how was your exam? You’ve been studying for it for days,” Serena chimed in. She sat up and looked at Ariel.

“Oh, the exam, I think, went rather well. It was difficult, but I think I did okay on it...” Ariel’s voice drifted off. She suddenly got a vision of Peter in her head. What is going on? , she thought.

“Ariel?” Mina asked, “what’s wrong?”

“Yeah, you look really pale suddenly,” Lita added. The concerned voice made everyone look at Ariel.

“Ariel? Ariel!” Darien tried to get his sister to return back to reality. Ariel gasped. “What’s wrong? It’s not like you to space out on us like that.”

Ariel smiled. “I’m sorry. I just had a really bad day after class was over.” Raye and Amy gave her a puzzled look. “Glenn hired a new person today.”

“Well, that’s good, isn’t it? You can relax a little bit,” Lita said trying to cheer up Ariel. Everyone knew that Ariel loved working alone with Glenn. The two seemed like father-and-daughter running the shop.

“Yeah, I guess it’s good. But Glenn said that Peter would be the best performer yet at Golden Sounds,” Ariel felt tears welling up in her eyes again. “I don’t know if he wants someone to replace me singing, or...” Ariel stopped herself and looked at the floor.

“Peter’s the new guy?” Serena asked. She saw Ariel nod. Serena looked up at Darien, who looked very concerned for his sister.

“Ariel?” Darien waited for his sister to look up at him. When she finally did, he continued, “Everything will turn out fine. You know that. I am sure Glenn had a legitimate reason for saying that. Besides, I think I’m speaking for everyone here, you are the best. We love hearing you sing, and seeing you perform.” Everyone nodded in agreement.

Ariel looked up at her friends and her brother and smiled. “Thanks, you guys.” Her tears went away. “Would it be okay if I went home? Maybe I just need a little rest.” Everyone nodded.

“Hey! Wait up, Ariel,” Mina said. “I’ll walk with you. I have to get going too. I am real tired and I should try to go to sleep early. Okay, guys?” Mina was putting on her sweater.

“Maybe we should all go home, it is late and we do have school tomorrow,” Darien suggested.

They all stood by the gates of the temple. Mina and Ariel hugged everyone goodbye and were on their way. Serena interrupted the silence, “I hope Mina can try to cheer Ariel up. I don’t like seeing her upset at all.” With that, Darien put his arm around Serena and hugged her.

***************************

Hmm.. I hope I can cheer her up. Poor Ariel, she doesn’t need this, Mina thought. “So, Ariel...why don’t you tell me about the new guy? Maybe if you get to know him, you can cheer up a bit. I’m sure Glenn doesn’t want to replace you.” She smiled over at Ariel.

“Maybe you’re right Mina. He hasn’t even been here a whole day so maybe I should give him a chance, right?” Ariel looked over to her friend, who nodded a response. Ariel sensed that Mina was up to something. After all, Mina wasn’t just Sailor Venus. She represents Venus, the planet of love.

Ariel suddenly had a change of heart. “His name is Peter. He’s about my age. He’s taller than me.” She giggled.

Mina looked at her. “What are you giggling about?” She tried so hard to keep a straight face. She knew Ariel was attracted to this man already.

“Oh! Just thinking...” Ariel answered.

“About?” Mina insisted. She gave her friend a sly look.

“FINE! YOU GOT ME! Okay? I’ll admit it. I think he is a little cute. Okay? Are you happy? But how can I ignore the short, sleek, black hair and those caring, dark brown eyes? They seem so...” Ariel looked up at Mina and stopped. Mina just gave her a puzzled look. “His eyes seems so welcoming and caring and warm.” She spoke softly. “Mina? I don’t like this. I can’t fall for this guy. I have to find my prince. It’s like I’ll be cheating on him without being with him...”

“Ariel...you don’t know where your love is. Just let your heart guide you. Your heart is pure and true. Having a little crush is not going to hurt what you have with your prince.” Mina hugged her friend. “You’ll find him soon! I know you will. If you don’t want to have anything going on between you and Peter, that’s fine. It’ll all work out. Okay?” Ariel nodded. “I’ll see you later Ariel!” With that, Mina turned around and walked into her house.

Ariel just had a few more blocks to go. My...it’s getting colder. Then again, it’s probably just me. I don’t know. Maybe Mina is right. I’m just gonna take it one day at a time...wait, no, rather one minute at a time. She smiled and took out her keys to the store. She began humming Elton John’s song, “Believe.” She was singing softly as she opened the front door of the little music shop.

Ariel was about to go see Glenn who always stayed up waiting for her at his desk, but she stopped. Glenn wasn’t sitting on the chair. It was Peter. For some reason, she became angered and walked up to him. “What are you doing sitting in his chair? Where’s Glenn?”

“Ariel? Please, calm down! Glenn asked me to...” Peter noticed how beautiful Ariel looked when she was angry.

“What are you staring at?” Ariel looked at him. She felt herself turning red. He is really nice...and cute...wait! I can’t do this. Well, maybe a little hard to get, or, what the heck!

“I’m staring at you! Ok? Your...your beauty...your beautiful dark brown eyes, your black hair...your...” Peter stopped. He realized his mistake. He had told Ariel, or at least hinted his feelings. I’m stupid! Damn! He turned beet red. “I’ve said too much...sorry...um...Glenn was tired and he asked me to wait up for you. I did...you’re home. So, goodnight, Ariel.” He got up and ran to his room.

Ariel stood there dumbfounded. Did he just say, rather hinted, at something? Can it be that Peter likes me? Oh man. This is too weird. Ariel walked back to her room and sat on her bed. This is way weird. Oh man. I actually like the fact that he may like me. Oh no! I’m sorry, my prince. She lay on her bed and slowly drifted to sleep.

***********************************************************************

‘Help me, my Princess! Please help me! I am at the park! Hurry! Come! Please, my love!’ Ariel sat up on her bed. It was past three in the morning. She knew that was no dream. She began hearing the voice again. “Could it be? Can my prince be here? In danger?” she said quietly. ‘Help me, please!’ Ariel stood up and quickly left her room. She noticed that Peter’s and Glenn’s room were closed as she crept through the store to the door. Good they are sleeping, she thought.

She stepped out the door and began walking to the park. The voice she had been hearing seemed to be getting closer and louder. As she neared the park, she saw a lightning bolt. “Oh, no! The NegaVerse is back!” she said as she ran closer to see what was going on. She saw Sailor Venus and Sailor Jupiter trying to stop the monster. They seemed to be waiting for the other scouts to arrive.

“Mars Fire...” Sailor Mars cried out as she ran closer to the monster.

“Moon Tiara Magic!” Sailor Moon yelled as her tiara went flying towards the creature.

“IGNITE!” Mars finished. Her fire surrounded Sailor Moon’s tiara and together they injured the creature, which had collapsed on the ground.

Ariel noticed that Sailor Moon was going to finish off the creature when she sensed another presence near them. Quickly, she transformed into the Universal Guardian.

“Sailor Moon! RUN!” Sailor Mercury yelled out to their leader as the other monster jumped out to her. Sailor Moon gasped as she turned around to see the other creature get near her.

“Universal Star Shower FLASH!” A rainbow swirl surrounded the second creature. The first looked on, confused about where this other attack came from. “Sailor Moon, finish off the first on. Quick!” Ariel called out to her.

Sailor Moon nodded. “Moon Scepter...ELIMINATION!” The first creature cried out and disappeared. The second followed. “Ariel? Thanks a bunch!” Sailor Moon walked over to her friend and gave her a hug.

“How did you know we were here?” Sailor Mercury asked. “We still didn’t give you one of the communicators.”

“I don’t know. Really? I normally would sense an evil presence and would be able to quickly locate it, but...” she drifted off. She remembered that pleading voice of her love calling for help.

“Ariel? What’s wrong?” Jupiter asked. They all noticed Ariel becoming pale.

“Huh? Oh, sorry. I, uh, um...came here because I heard the voice of my love calling for help in the park. I don’t know where or what it was. So I came. And then,” she looked at the scouts, her friends, “I saw the other creature going to attack Sailor Moon and then you know the rest.” She grew paler by the second.

“Ariel? You should rest. Honestly...you are so pale,” Sailor Moon told her future sister-in-law.

“Yeah, I guess you are right. Thanks...Serena.” Ariel collapsed to the ground. The girls gasped as they saw Ariel’s weakness caused her to transform back to her normal self.

“Oh, no! She fainted!” Sailor Venus cried out. “We need to get her back to her room.”

********************************

Peter was going to run out to her when he felt a hand on his shoulder stop him. He had been watching the entire time. He had seen all the scouts transform, as well as Ariel. Seeing her faint was the last thing he needed. He wanted to run to her, but the feeling of the hand on his shoulder forced him to stop. He turned around to see another man.

“Um...uh...Darien?” Peter asked as he looked into the eyes of the other man.

“Yeah, that’s me...how did you know who I was if we never met?” Darien asked quietly. He looked through the bushes that Peter was hiding behind to see that the girls had already transformed back. He had heard that they were going to take Ariel to the temple since it was close to where they were. Darien looked back at the young man.

“I kinda went into Ariel’s room while she was out earlier today. I’m...” Peter was telling Ariel’s twin brother when he was interrupted.

“Peter. I know. I’ve already heard a lot about you. I was going to stop by the shop. I wanted to meet you. Ariel told us that Glenn had hired another employee and I just wanted to warn you how stubborn Ariel can be.” Darien looked at the man. He looked familiar for some reason, like he had known him a long time ago. Oh, well. Never mind. Last time I insisted on finding out who someone was almost risked me my relationship with Serena. I won’t get involved unless I truly have to, he thought.

“Oh, Glenn warned me already. But that is okay. I will handle her stubbornness. She’s worth it.” Peter smiled as he pictured the him and Ariel walking through the rose garden again.

“You like my sister, don’t you?” Darien interrupted Peter’s thoughts. He had a sly smile on his face. Maybe Ariel does need a little romance and excitement in her life. I know she is looking for her prince, but maybe, until she finds him, she can have a little crush...

“Um...no,” Peter began but noticed the unbelieving look that Darien gave him. “Yeah,” he said sheepishly. “But I don’t think she is interested in me. Besides, she deserves a Prince. I am not one. We already had a minor dispute. I kinda slipped and hinted that I like her. I left as soon as I had noticed my mistake. I never meant to say anything.” Peter felt his eyes welling up with tears. What? Tears? Does Ariel mean that much to me that I don’t want her to be upset with me? Or angered with me for getting the job at Golden Sounds? Do I really want to be with her? I know I like her...but it feels like we are supposed to be together. But at the same time I don’t want to hurt her at all, emotionally.

“Peter? Why don’t you just give her time? She is not used to having someone else working at the shop that is not either Glenn and herself.” Darien told him. “I think you know by now that I am her twin brother, right?” Peter nodded. “I thought so since you said you looked in her room.”

“Yeah, I saw the picture of you signed, ‘love, your twin brother, Darien’ that was on her desk.” Peter felt weird telling Darien this. “You are Tuxedo Mask, aren’t you? I kinda assumed since I already know who the others are. I have never met them but I can tell you who they are from watching them transform and the pictures of their normal selves in her room.”

Darien nodded and smiled. This boy is really smart. “Don’t worry. Ariel will be fine.” He noticed the concerned look on Peter’s face as he looked over to Ariel being carried off by the girls. “You should go back to the shop and get some sleep. You’ll see Ariel later, okay?” Darien stood up and extended his hand.

Peter accepted it and smiled. “Thanks Darien. I’ll talk to you later.” He saw Darien walk away towards the temple. Peter smiled again. Hmm...future brother-in-law? I like the idea. Peter practically skipped his way back to the shop.

He walked in to find Glenn coming out of his room and collapsing. Peter ran to the old man’s side. “Glenn? What’s wrong? Glenn?”

Glenn weakly answered, “I lost my balance.” When he saw Peter’s look, he told him the truth. “My heart is weak boy. I don’t think I am going to make it much longer.”

“Glenn! Don’t talk like that! You’re gonna be fine. Ariel will be here in a little while. Here let me help to your chair. Okay?” Peter put his arm around the weak man and carried him to the chair at the desk. Peter knelt beside him, a concerned look crossed his face. Ariel? Please be all right. Glenn needs you to be all right.

“My boy...do you want to know the real reason why I hired you? Well, I am going to tell you.” Glenn saw that Peter was looking at him with an intense look. “I hired you because when you came in for the interview, I sensed something about you. I didn’t know what it was exactly, but I knew it would be good for both Ariel and myself. I have been getting worse lately. The past few days my heart is growing weaker and weaker. Ariel means a lot to me and she is very special. I have taken care of her so much; she is like a daughter to me. I know that I am not going to make it much longer. So I hired you...to work here, but also to take care of her. Now that I know that you like her, I can be at peace. I want so much for her to like you. To be honest boy, just because I know her so well, I think she does. But she has to decide to tell you herself.” Glenn stopped. He winced in pain. Peter reached out for Glenn’s hand. Glenn squeezed it. “I am going to tell you something. Ariel is not like any other girl. She is very different. She has powers.”

Peter smiled. “I know, I’ve seen them. I followed her tonight when she left earlier.” He looked at the old man, who smiled in return.

“So you know then?” the old man asked. Peter nodded. “Good then. Now you must know the rest and you cannot let her know that I told you. The reason why Ariel may seem so reluctant to giving in to her feelings for you is because she is destined to be with someone already. She feels that if she loves, or even likes another, she’ll be cheating on her true love. Ariel is committed. She searches and searches and has still not found him. She recently found her twin brother and her friends, but no luck with her beloved.” The old man reached up to Peter’s face and made him look into his eyes. “I hired you because I think you are he. Ariel may say that a guy is cute, but she will never fall for anyone who isn’t her prince. I don’t know if it is just a hunch but I really do believe you are the one she is looking for.”

Peter looked at the old man. Tears fell from his eyes. “I have this vision, or this fantasy that I wanted to happen, that...Ariel and I...are walking together through the rose gardens. It keeps appearing to me and I get a warm feeling inside my heart whenever I think of it.” Peter awaited for a response from the old man.

“Rose garden, you say?” Peter nodded. Glenn smiled. “Boy, you have found your princess. Ariel remembers walks of her and her prince walking through rose gardens together.” He took Peter’s hand again and squeezed it. “Son, I am not going to be around for much longer. I think you already know that. It seems to me that you are just as stubborn as Ariel to not want to believe it. The shop will be left to Ariel and you are to be there also. A manager. I have it all written in my will, but that it unimportant. I can now rest that Ariel will soon discover her true love. Trust me. It’ll happen. Just give her time. Okay?” Glenn gave the young man a smile and closed his eyes.

Peter noticed that before long, Glenn was snoring. He got up and went to Glenn’s room and picked up a blanket. He placed it over Glenn and sat on the floor next to him. Yeah Glenn. I’ll take care of Ariel for you. I promise. I don’t know why, but I believe you when you say that I am the one Ariel is looking for. I’ll give her time, though. She’s an intelligent girl, she’ll get it soon. Peter stopped his thoughts for a moment and said a quick prayer. “Lord, please let Ariel be okay. And if you need to take Glenn, let him see Ariel first. I have a feeling he would like to see his little girl at least one more time. Thank you, Lord. For everything. For bringing me here, for meeting Glenn, for meeting Darien, and especially for meeting Ariel. I will do my best to take care of her. Thank you. Amen.” After his little prayer, Peter closed his eyes and fell asleep.

******************************

Darien reached the temple just as the girls were covering Ariel up with a blanket. “Darien? We were wondering where you were,” Serena went up to him and they gave each other a kiss.

“I saw everything and I was going to fight with you guys also but then I saw Ariel there. I let her handle everything.” Darien noticed everyone looking at him. “I saw Peter. He followed her there. Actually, he was already there when you all were transforming. So he does know who you all are. We talked for a few minutes. He really likes her. So, he is just going to wait. I have a feeling my sister likes him too, but doesn’t want to say anything. You know her feelings about falling in love when she is searching for her prince. Well, I basically told him to let her figure out what is on her mind.” He looked over to his sister and went to her. He sat down on the bed next to her and picked up her hand. “No movement or anything from her?” he asked as he looked at his twin sister’s face.

“Not a thing,” Amy replied quietly.

“She’s out cold,” Raye added.

“I don’t understand why she passed out. She used her regular power,” Lita said. “And, not to mention, that is was after the creatures were defeated. So...” She was confused, as was everyone else.

“I know why,” Mina said quietly. Everyone looked up at her. “She’s in love. When I walked with her home last night, I kinda got her to tell me. She does like Peter. But she fears that she’ll be cheating on her prince. Maybe all the emotions got to her and caused her to faint.”

“You’re telling me that my sister, Ariel, likes Peter?” Darien asked Mina. She nodded. “Hmm...maybe this is good for her. You know what? We have to get them together. Somehow.”

“Darien! I’m shocked!” Serena exclaimed. “YOU want to get your sister hooked up with this guy? Hmm...” Darien flashed her a smile. “Hey, I’m with you every step of the way. Besides, after her little surprise for us, she deserves it.”

They all huddled closer and began planning.

**************************

It was about ten in the morning when Ariel awoke. She was surprised to see herself lying on a bed at Raye’s temple. She sat up and looked around. Aww...I must have passed out last night after the fight. She noticed that all the girls were laying on the ground, still asleep. She also noticed that Darien was there, holding Serena. They look so cute together. I can’t wait until their wedding. She noticed that Lita had sat up and smiled at her.

“You any better Ariel?” Lita asked. “We were all worried about you. We didn’t want to leave you.”

“Yeah, thanks Lita. I’m much better. I really appreciate it.” Ariel looked out the window. When she looked back, everyone was waking up. They greeted each other good morning. Ariel excused herself, saying she needed to get back to the shop. She had told them to stop by at around two that afternoon. When they promised her that they would, she left.

******************

She neared the shop and saw that Glenn must have opened it. She was glad. She usually opened the shop but since she wasn’t there, she was glad to see he did it for her. Ariel walked in to find Peter sitting at the desk. He was wearing black pants and a very nice blue shirt. She was surprised to see him sitting there. But still, she greeted him.

“Good morning,Peter! How are you?” she asked. She smiled in his direction. She remembered how he hinted at his feelings for her.

“Good morning to you too, Ariel. I’m fine thanks. Yourself?” He tried to sound professional. He wanted so much to impress her even more.

“I’m fine thanks,” Ariel said mimicking him. She smiled again and told him she was going to change. ‘Take your time, princess, he had told her.’ Princess? If he only knew. She smiled as she looked through her closet for a gray skirt and a dark blue tank top. She always dressed nice at the shop, but she wanted to impress Peter too. Hey, maybe Mina is right. A little fling isn’t going to hurt true love. She smiled. She took out her black heels and put them on. She brushed her long, black hair and put it up in a high ponytail. She put on some lipstick, her normal color, and then looked at herself in the mirror. She liked what she saw. She felt more comfortable than she had ever in a long time. She got her pen and her notebook for school and stepped out of her room like she normally did. She went to the little table by the stage and sat down.

Peter noticed her when she stepped out of her room. He didn’t dare say anything. He tried to calm all his emotions. Instead, he pretended that he didn’t see her. Good move. Besides, she didn’t make a sound when she left her room. Gosh...at least she looks okay. After fainting earlier, I would have figured she would have gone back to sleep. Strong girl. Peter sighed. He was getting impatient. He told himself to calm down. I know I have to let her make the first move, if any.

“Hey Peter? Where’s Glenn? I’ve been wondering where he is,” Ariel asked. Good way to start a conversation. Hmmm...where is Glenn? Ariel had been too into getting ready and wanting to impress Peter that Glenn’s absence slipped her mind.

“Oh, he’s still sleeping. He didn’t feel too well last night.” Peter told her. I can’t really tell her what he had said. His heart is failing. Oh...I’ll take care of her Glenn. I promise you.

“What do you mean he didn’t feel well? Is he okay?” Ariel was concerned. She loved Glenn like a father. She would do anything for that old man.

“Yeah, he’ll be okay,” he lied. “He just needs a little rest.” When he saw her relax, he decided to try to break the ice a little bit more. “Ariel? Would you mind if I put the radio on?” He looked at the radio on the desk.

“Sure, go ahead,” Ariel said. “I love music. I won’t mind a bit.” This was harder than she thought. I really just want to tell him right now that I really like him. My heart wants me to, but my mind tells me I shouldn’t. I don’t like being confused at all. She sighed.

Peter had put the radio. Elton John’s song, “Sacrifice,” was playing. He heard Ariel start singing softly. “Cold, cold heart. Hard done by you. Some things look better baby, just passing through. And it’s no sacrifice. Just a simple word. It’s two hearts living, in two separate worlds. But it’s no sacrifice...” Wow, she does have a beautiful voice. I’m not as good as Glenn made it seem. Peter’s heart filled with a mixture of emotions as he heard her continue singing softly at the table.

“Ariel? Are you here?” said a familiar voice. Peter and Ariel looked up to see Darien, Serena, Mina, Lita, Amy and Raye.

“Oh, hi guys! I’m so glad you came by,” Ariel went and greeted them again.

Peter was a little worried. Would Darien tell Ariel that he saw her faint? That they had already met? His thoughts were interrupted by Ariel’s calling.

“Peter? Wake up and join reality, will ya?” She smiled at him. “Come here. I want you to meet my friends. This is Raye, Amy, Mina, and Lita.” He shook hands with all of them.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you all,” he told them, trying to keep calm.

“This is my twin brother Darien and his girlfriend, Serena,” Ariel told Peter, who shook hands with both of them. “Everyone, as you all know already, this is Peter.” They all smiled and all took seats by the stage.

“So, Peter, you are the newest employee here at Golden Sounds, right?” Darien asked. He knew Peter was worried he would say something about the events of the night.

“Yeah, I am. I hope to do a good job,” Peter said. He wanted to thank Darien, but instead, he just smiled.

“Not if you try to take my spot. I won’t let you,” Ariel began. She smiled over at Peter.

He smiled back. “No way Ariel. Your spot’s yours. I’ll just help out.” He noticed her surprised look.

Serena looked at Darien. They were both thinking the same thing. Ariel and Peter were going to start arguing.

“You bet my spot is mine. I’ve worked hard to get to...” she stopped. Glenn’s door opened. “Glenn.” She was getting ready to go greet him at the steps when he collapsed. “Oh, no! Glenn!” Ariel ran to him. She held the old man in her arms. All the talking ceased. The girls, Darien, and Peter all focused on the man who lay in Ariel’s arms. “Hey! You silly man,” Ariel choked out. She had a very bad feeling about what was going on. “You gotta be careful.”

Peter’s eyes started to well up. He sensed what was coming. He looked at everyone in the room. First to Lita, who was standing next to Mina. Amy and Raye were hugging. Serena had her hand covering her mouth. Darien had her arm around her. He noticed Darien staring at him. A single tear fell from each of their eyes. Both he and Darien knew what was about to happen. Poor Glenn.

Ariel was trying to fight back her tears. “Glenn? Come on. I’ll...” she stopped.

The old man looked up at her. Weakly, he said, “Ariel, my dear.” He winced in pain. “You know I love you with all my heart. I am very proud of you, darling. I’m sorry...I can’t hold on any longer.” Ariel was in tears. “Come closer, Ariel.” She obeyed. She leaned her head above his. “I know you will find your true love soon. I can sense it. I am sorry that I won’t be here to see you both together. But...” he paused and coughed. “I’ll be watching from heaven. Okay? I love you, Ariel.”

Ariel lifted her head and nodded. “I love you too Glenn.” Tears flowed from her eyes as the old man closed his eyes and drew in his last breath. She held him for several moments. Everyone was crying. Darien hugged Serena tightly.

I can’t believe it was so soon. Rest in peace, dear Glenn. You can now, I’ll take care of her. Peter slowly walked over to Ariel. She looked up at him with tearful eyes. “Ariel...I, uh, am very sorry.”

“Thanks, Pete.” She smiled as he hugged her. He thought, Pete? She called me Pete. He smiled.

Darien looked at Serena and at the girls. A faint smile spread along each of their faces. One step closer to romance. Darien smiled at himself and at his sister. He finally went to her. Lita had called an ambulance to come take the old man’s body away. They came and left. Once again, everyone shed tears of sadness as the paramedics placed Glenn’s body on the stretcher and covered it with a white sheet.

They were all seated near the stage. Ariel remained still and very quiet. She stood up and everyone looked at her. “I need to go for a walk. I’ll be back later.” She grabbed her little black purse and left the shop.

“Oh man. I can’t handle this,” Peter said aloud. “My emotions are running wild. You have no idea how much I just wanted to hold her and kiss her. She needed someone to love her. She needs her prince soon. I don’t think I’ll be able to see her suffering.” He started crying. This girl has gotten me so emotional. She’s worth every tear. I will protect you now Ariel. But for the present time, I’ll let you think.

Everyone looked at him. Darien got up and walked over the young man. “Peter? I know you’ll protect her. Things will get better. I promise.” He smiled at Peter. He needed friends and he got them.

***********************************************************************

Ariel walked to the rose garden in town. Maybe looking at roses will help me clear my mind. Glenn, I miss you a lot. You were like a father to me. But, I didn’t want you in pain, so you are in a better place now. A single tear fell from her eye. She stopped at the entrance gates of the garden. “It’s such a beautiful day,” she said quietly.

Just as she was about to enter through the gates, Ariel sensed an evil presence. Before she could locate it, she was grabbed and thrown across the main gate. She cried out in pain. Uhh...what is this creature doing? The sound of a passing car distracted the monster. She saw her chance to transform into the Universal Guardian. “Universal Power!” she cried out. Suddenly, she transformed.

Ariel dodged the creatures first attack, but before she could dodge the next one, the creature grabbed her. It’s trying to kill me! No! I won’t let you! She gasped for air. I can’t die yet! I need to see my prince one more time! “I won’t let you take me before seeing Peter one more time!” she cried out. Oh, my gosh! Did I just say Peter? Was I referring to him as my prince? This is so unreal...it can’t be! she thought.

******************************

Peter jerked his head up, surprising everyone. “Ariel’s in danger! I can feel it!” He jumped to his feet. He looked at each of them. “I promised Glenn that I would take care of her and dammit...I will do just that.” He ran out of the store, leaving them all behind.

“Let’s follow him,” Serena said. They all gathered their things and got ready to leave. “You guys go on ahead. I’ll be there in a minute.” The other girls nodded and ran after Peter. She helped Darien locate the spare keys and close up the shop. “That’s the last thing poor Ariel needs...for something to happen to this place.” She smiled as Darien locked up the door and together they ran after the girls.

They followed him to the small road near the entrance of the rose gardens. Peter looked at all of them. “I don’t know what I can do? I don’t have powers like you guys do. Please help her for me. I knew she was here. That’s about all I can do,” he pleaded with the girls and Darien.

“Don’t worry, Peter,” Mina said.

“We’ll take care of the Nega-monster for you,” Raye finished off her idea.

“And...we’ll help Ariel too,” Amy added.

“You bet!” Lita agreed.

“Come on guys! Let’s go!” Serena yelled. “Moon Crystal Power!”

“Mercury Star Power!”

“Mars Star Power!”

“Jupiter Star Power!”

“Venus Star Power!”

Each girl transformed into the guardian of the respective planet. Darien transformed into Tuxedo Mask. “We’ll get her back to you,” her twin brother had told him before he left with the girls to surround the creature.

Ariel, as the Universal Guardian screamed out in pain. She was losing track of time and her location. Things slowly began to spin around and darken as the creature tightened its grip around her body.

“Mars Fire...IGNITE!!!” Sailor Mars cried out. Her fire hit the creature, causing it to drop Ariel to the ground. She lay motionless. The creature tried to grab Sailor Mars who had jumped out of the way.

“No you don’t! Venus Love-Chain...ENCIRCLE!!!” Sailor Venus yelled out. The creature avoided the attack, but grabbed Ariel again, as well as Sailor Venus.

“VENUS!” Sailor Moon cried out. She was getting angry. “No one messes with my friends, Nega-creep!” She stepped forward but the creature dropped Sailor Venus in front of her. Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Mercury ran to her. They all looked up and saw the monster waving Ariel in the air.

Ariel cried out in pain one more time. The creature squeezed her tighter. This isn’t worth it. Forget it, Ariel. What were you thinking? I haven’t found him yet and I probably never will! Let this monster end everything for me! Let my friends be okay! “Hey Nega-scum!” she yelled out with her last bit of strength. “I’ll make a deal with you. Leave my friends alone...and...” she looked at her friends. Each one of them looked back at her: Sailor Venus, Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Mars, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask. “...and...” she began crying, “...you can take all my energy. It’s not worth it anymore. Everything just blew up in my face today. I don’t think I can handle any of this anymore!”

Everyone gasped. “Ariel! No! You can’t mean that! You must be delirious, or something!” Tuxedo Mask yelled out.

The creature started cackling and began squeezing her harder. Ariel screamed in pain.

“AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!” Peter heard what she had said. He heard her scream. I can’t let this happen. Ariel...you have so much going for you. I promised Glenn that I would take care of you, and I will. He took a step forward. If I am the prince Glenn said she was looking for, then it is about time I show her, and find out for myself. “Please let me help her! Please? I don’t know if I am the one she is looking for. But if I am, help me help her!” he pleaded. Tears began forming in his eyes.

Peter felt himself change. He had transformed into a knight. I am the one. I am her prince, he thought. “I am...the Galactic Knight!” he said to himself proudly.

He ran to where the scouts all huddled near the creature. They were still in shock about what Ariel had said moments earlier. There was nothing they could do, except watch. The creature got larger as the seconds went by. They all knew that if they attacked, it would kill her sooner. If they did nothing, it would kill her as well.

The attack came from behind the creature. Everyone was caught by surprise. An arrow came from the sky and hit the creature between the eyes. Unable to focus, the monster dropped Ariel from several feet in the air. Someone jumped through the sky to and landed just in time to catch her.

“What the...?” Sailor Mars began but stopped abruptly.

The one who had saved Ariel carried her close to them. “Peter?” Tuxedo Mask asked.

Peter nodded. “How...uh? What...uh?”

“I just found out. Glenn told me that he sensed that I was her prince. So...I just tried out to see if...” he stopped. “Never mind! That’s not important at all.” He looked at all the scouts and Tuxedo Mask. “All that matters now is defeating this creature and getting Ariel back to herself.”

“You got it!” Sailor Jupiter said. “Time to end this little party once and for all. Jupiter Thunder...CRASH!!” A lightning bolt struck the creature.

“Mercury Bubbles...BLAST!” Sailor Mercury’s bubble surrounded the monster.

While all the scouts used their energy to try to wear out the Nega-Monster, Peter held Ariel. “Hey Ariel! Come on. Wake up! I’m here. I’m your prince. It is me,” he said to her. He began to cry. He pictured them walking down the paths of the rose garden they were at. He pictured himself going to the mall to buy Elton John CD’s so he could learn a song for... “That’s it! It’s worth a try,” he whispered.

He shifted. He held his princess tight. This is how it is supposed to be. Me...protecting her. I finally found my love, and she will see that she has found her prince. He began to sing softly to her. “I saw you dancing out the ocean...running fast along the sand...a spirit born of earth and water...fire flying from your hands...in the instant that you love someone...in the second that the hammer hits...” He continued as he saw Tuxedo Mask near him. “Reality runs up your spine...and the pieces finally fit...” Peter squeezed her, “ and all I ever needed was the one...like freedom feels where wild horses run...when stars collide...like you and I...no shadows block the sun...you’re all I’ve ever needed...ooh baby, you’re the one...”

Ariel stirred. A soft light surrounded her. Peter stopped singing. “She’s going to be okay.” He heard Tuxedo Mask’s voice behind him. Ariel opened her eyes, realizing who was holding her.

“Peter?” she asked. She slowly gained her strength again. “Was that you singing? Oh, my!” she realized what Peter was wearing. That’s the same outfit my prince wore! Can it be? She looked at him in shock. “Are you...” she began. “Are you...the Galactic Knight?” Ariel could hardly keep herself together.

Peter was so glad to see her awake. “Yeah...it’s me, Peter, the Galactic Knight.”

Ariel jumped up and hugged him. “I am so glad! It is you! It is you! You ARE my prince! How did...?” she stopped when she heard screaming. Ariel looked up to see Sailor Mercury being tossed to the side by a creature. “Oh no! I’ve got to help!” She looked at Peter. This is great! I was not cheating on my love after all. “Stay here! Please?” He nodded and she got up.

“Sailor Moon!” Ariel cried out to her friend. “Let’s get this rid of this creature once and for all, okay?”

“You got it!” Sailor Moon replied.

“Universal Rainbow Crystal...” Ariel cried out.

Sailor Moon took out her scepter. “Moon...Scepter...”

“Supreme Thunder...CRASH!!”

“Venus Meteor...SHOWER!!”

“Mercury Ice Bubbles...BLAST!!”

“Mars Celestial Fire...SURROUND!!”

“POWER!” Ariel finished.

“ELIMINATION!” followed Sailor Moon.

All the powers from each of the scouts combined into one powerful attack. A rainbow colored flash surrounded the creature from Ariel’s powers. Sailor Moon’s scepter got rid of the monster for good.

Peter gave a sigh of relief. Everyone turned around to face him. “So...Peter...are you Ariel’s prince?” Sailor Moon asked. He blushed.

“You guys! Don’t put the pressure on him,” Ariel interrupted her from further questioning. She smiled at him. He could see her blushing also.

Tuxedo Mask came to the rescue. “Why don’t we, uh, let these two talk? Hmm?” He walked over to Sailor Moon and they all nodded. They left Ariel and Peter alone by the entrance of the rose garden. They promised to meet them the following day at Golden Sounds in the afternoon.

**********************************

Ariel and Peter stood by the gates. Neither one wanted to move or talk, but they each had a lot on their minds.

“Peter? How did you know I was looking for a prince?” Ariel asked softly. Her eyes looked up at him.

He didn’t know where to start. “Ariel...from the first moment I saw you the other day, I liked you. I wanted to impress you so much. I didn’t know how.” He looked at her. “I saw when you fainted the other night. I was there, watching. That night, I met Darien. We talked for a while. He basically told me to give you time because you were looking for your destined love. After I left, when I got back to the shop, I talked to Glenn. He told me that the main reason he hired me was because he wanted someone to love and take care of you when he was gone. He said that he sensed that I was ‘your prince.’ I knew that he was not going to make it much longer. I prayed that the Lord waited until you saw him one more time before he took dear Glenn up to heaven with him.”

Ariel had started looking around. He saw tears filling her eyes. “I sensed you were in danger today after you left. I practically flew here. Seeing you, almost lifeless, got me panicking. I asked the scouts to try to save you. When I saw that they needed help, I prayed that I was the prince you were looking for. I got my answer when I had transformed into what you see me as now.” He stopped. He sensed that she had a question.

“And that song? Why did you start singing to me?” Ariel searched his eyes for the answer. Those warm, loving, dark eyes that she had loved when she first met him and that she had loved from the very beginning, back in the Silver Millennium.

Peter smiled. “Glenn told me that Elton John was your favorite singer. After I found that out, I went to the mall and bought about five of his CD’s. I figured out that you didn’t like the fact that I was the new employee at Golden Sounds. I also figured that you may have thought that I was taking your place. BUT, at the same time, I fell in love with you. I wanted to impress you. So, I bought the CD’s and was determined to get the song that would be appropriate and I wanted to sing it to you. I was kind of hoping that would impress you.” He stopped and looked at the sky. “When I had you in my arms, I was thinking about two things. First, I always had this vision of you and me walking through a rose garden. And secondly,” he noticed Ariel gasp, “sing you a song that you hopefully liked. So I sang it to you. I picked the song, “The One,” because I felt that you were the one for me.” He sighed.

Ariel was shocked. The rose garden? Can it really be? she thought. “The song you sang filled my heart with joy. That is why I am back here.” She smiled at him. “You mentioned something about a rose garden?”

Peter looked at the ground. “Yeah...when I met you I had this fantasy of you and me walking through the paths of the rose garden. I told Glenn that and he just smiled. I figured that he thought I was silly for having that kind of fantasy. It’s nothing really.”

“Wait, Peter. It is something! I’ve had this vision of me and my prince walking down the paths of a rose garden. After I met you, the blurry vision of my love turned to your face. I tried to avoid all feelings I had for you because I was scared that I would fall in love with you and then I’d feel like I was cheating on my prince. But...” she stopped. Ariel looked at Peter who was looking down. She took his hand. Peter looked at her, confused. She led him into the rose garden.

They walked together down the main path. Ariel stopped by the red roses. “My brother uses red roses in his attacks. I love red roses too.” She looked up at Peter. He was looking right at her.

“Ariel...am I the prince you were looking for?” Peter asked, almost whispering.

“Yes, my love. I will never let you go,” she answered him with the same low voice. “You are mine, my love, forever and always.”

“It’s our destiny, my dear Princess Ariel,” he said as he lowered his head and kissed her.

Ariel smiled at him after the kiss. “My Prince of the Galaxy has returned to me.” She hugged him. “We better get back to the shop. It’s almost midnight and we have to sleep and get things ready for tomorrow.”

“Tomorrow?” Peter asked her. What’s this girl up to?

“Well, Darien, Serena, and the girls are all coming over, right?” Peter nodded. “Well, I think we will need to tell them that we are together now, right?” He nodded again. “Well, I was thinking that we can do that by...” Ariel and Peter continued planning as they walked back to the shop.

***********************************************************************

“Ariel? Peter? Where are you guys?” Serena called out as she walked into the shop.

“Ah, Serena, Darien...I’m glad you are here.” Ariel kissed her brother and her future sister-in-law hello. “Where are the others?”

“We’re here! Sorry we’re late!” Amy apologized.

“Yeah, Lita and Raye met a guy on the way here and they were talking to him,” Mina added.

“You were talking to him too, Mina!” Lita said.

“Don’t deny it!” Raye insisted.

“Okay, okay, guys!” Serena tried to calm them down. Darien and Ariel smiled at the girls.

“So...Ariel? Where’s Peter?” Serena asked, looking around.

“Oh, Peter? Well, he disappeared this morning.” Ariel saw that they were all surprised. “He said that he wanted to go back to where he belonged.” Ariel turned around. This is so hard to keep a straight face for. Ai yi yi! she thought.

“So, uh, Ariel? What are you going to do now?” Darien asked his sister.

“I don’t really know what I am going to do, Darien. Glenn is gone. I know he would have wanted me to take care of this place, so that’s what I am going to do, I guess.” Ariel sighed. “Right now, I have the urge to do something that relaxes me. I’m going to sing. Is that okay with you all?” She saw them all nod. They sat down at the seats by the stage to watch her sing.

The music to Elton John’s song “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” began playing. Ariel took the microphone in her hand and began to sing in front of the closed curtain.

“I can’t light no more of your darkness
All my pictures seem to fade to black and white
I’m growing tired and time stands still before me
Frozen here on the ladder of my life

Too late to save myself from falling
I took a chance and changed your way of life
But you misread my meaning when I met you
Closed the door and left me blinded by the light

Don’t let the sun go down on me
Although I search myself, it’s always someone else I see
I’d just allow a fragment of your life to wander free
But losing everything is like the sun going down on me...”

Suddenly, the curtain opened and a picture of Glenn was set on a stand in a beautiful gold frame.

“Who opened the...” Serena began asking. She was answered when she heard another familiar voice.

Peter came out holding a microphone. He began to sing.

“I can’t find, oh, the right romantic line
But see me once and see the way I feel
Don’t discard me just because you think I mean you harm
But those cuts I have, oh they need love to help them heal...”

He walked over to Ariel who was standing at the center of the stage and reached out for her hand. Peter smiled at her. Ariel placed her hand in his and smiled back. They began to sing together.

“Don’t let the sun go down on me
Although I search myself it’s always someone else I see
I’d just allow a fragment of your life to wander free
But losing everything is like the sun going down on me...”

As the song neared its ending, Peter put his hand on Ariel’s chin, lifting it up towards him. He bent down and kissed her.

Serena and the girls cheered. “Ariel, I told you it would be okay, didn’t I?” Mina asked her.

“Yes, you did! Thank you!” Ariel told her friend. “I love you all.” She blew kisses to them.

“Ahem, can I say something?” Peter asked. He saw Ariel nod. “Darien, I promise that I will take care of your sister. Now and forever.”

Darien got up. “You better! Otherwise, I will have to teach you a lesson.” He smiled at Peter, who smiled back at him. “Ariel, sis, are you happy now? Is he your prince?”

“Yes, Darien. I am happy now. He is my prince.” Ariel answered her brother.

“Good...because we all planned to get you both together, but it seems like you beat us to it.” Darien winked at his sister.

“Oh really? Is that so? Well, dear brother, I think that you are a bit too late.” She smiled at Darien. Ariel turned to Peter and kissed him. “I love you, my prince.”

“And princess, I love you.” Peter kissed her again as all the girls and Darien got up to hug the couple.
