Passion Play - A scene from ALW's "The Point of No Return"

Deeper and Deeper - "Deeper and deeper she swam into that kiss..." Another Kay-inspired work, and one of my first attempts at a non-ALW version of Erik'sÊface. Not as hideous as he could be, but hey! I'm working on it! ;-)Ê

A kind of sickness - A tenseÊscene from Susan Kay. A quote: He wrapped both arms around his chest in a fierce strangling hold that frightened me, made me take a step toward him in alarm. "Are you ill?" I whispered in horror. "Are you ill again?" "No!" His voice was a strangled breath that somehow, at the last moment, managed to become a bitter laugh. "Yes...perhaps it is a kind of sickness, in a way." Artist's note: Please enjoy the lovely candles and ignore my absolutelyÊabysmal attempt at drawing a piano! :-)

With trembling hands - Another scene from Susan Kay, one that never ceases to tug at my heart! A quote: "I drifted toward the hearth and ran my fingers absently across the mantelpiece......A movement behind me made me turn sharply, a reflex born of a lifetime's wariness. Christine stood there. She had shrouded her face in the wedding veil, and seeing this I suddenly knew a moment of intense remorse. I'd totally dismantled this child..."Ê

The Lesson - A tender Erik/Christine moment at the piano...

Music of the Night - Christine usually looks a bit too bored for me in this scene, so I gave her a slightly more active role in my interpretation. Inspired by the work, "Erik and His Love" by PhANS artist "Phantom."

This Haunted Face - Acrylic on canvas, part of an abstract series I did a few years ago. Erik regains his composure after Christine has unmasked him for the first time.

Through the Labyrinth - Acrylic on canvas, another piece from the same series. Erik leads Christine through the cellars below the Opera.

Fate Links Thee to Me - This is an illustration to Nicola Waters's excellent phan fiction of the same name. A quote from the scene: "Erik lowered his head slightly toward her. She was convinced that he wanted to kiss her...but instead he moved his head toward her left shoulder, breathing in deeply. He made a very soft sound, somewhere between a whimper and a cry of pleasure, and moved his head a little lower, nuzzlying shlyly against her, yet not actually touching her."

Fallen Angel - Inspired by John Owen Jones; Erik is dismantled by the death of his dream and the thought of losing Christine forever. *Sorely wishes she could comfort her beloved Phantom*

"Les nouveaux mariés" or "The Newlyweds" - Just a bit of Erik/Christine fluff, self-explanatory.

Homecoming - After a long day at the Opéra, Christine comes home to the man she loves...
