The Piercing Tip is treated with a proprietary
Armoloy ® surface coating, which gives the tip an extraordinarily hard
and durable protective finish. This treatment is a high chromium alloy
which permeates matrix of the tool steel, and becomes an integral part
of the steel itself. This treatment also contains an additive that
significantly reduces its frictional coefficient and allows easier and
fuller penetration when the heat is on, and seconds count.
