‘Dite Plots

Xena asked "Ares, who are we going to meet again?"

Ares said "We’re going to Paris, to meet ‘Dite and some of her friends."

Xena pouted "But then I have to wear a dress, unless Dite’s changed in the last 100 years.... Ugh I hated the 1800’s!"

Ares grinned "Don’t worry, Xe, you can wear whatever you want,"

Ares thought of the last time Xena had been mad about what she had to wear. "Within reason, I’ll deal with Aph if there are any problems."

Xena smiled and started rummaging through her closet.

Amanda leisurely asked "What do you say we just relax today, Duncan?"

Duncan reminded "Amanda, We’re meeting Dite’s brother tonight remember?"

Amanda sighed "Well if it’s meeting Dite’s family then I suppose. DO you know which brother we’re meeting?"

Duncan said "No."

Amanda nodded "I better find something to wear then."

‘Dite complained "But Devon, I totally can’t go to this alone!"

Devon stated "Look, I don’t have to come, I mean I’ve never seen any powers of yours that make me think that I have to. Go with your husband."

That was the last straw, NOBODY told Dite to go with her ‘husband’. She said "I’m the goddess of Luv, like hello! Do you seriously think that I like MAKE people do things? Duh, I get Ar or ‘Pollo to handle that!"

Devon asked cautiously "And exactly what gods are they?"

Dite complained "Like honestly! Ares is the god of WAR, and the perfect bro. Apollo is the god of Music and Healing, but let’s just say he’ll do ANYTHING for me. And Artemis is the goddess of the Hunt and Amazons, She’ll help ‘Pollo if he asks, they’re like twins."

Devon weighed his odds, figured out WHY Dite never fought and decided that he could go to Philadelphia some other time. "I’ll come, Aphrodite, just let me change some plans."

Dite smiled "Like hurry back Sweetum’s!"

Later:
Ares ducked from a flying dress thrown with enough force to do some serious damage. Xena stalked out of her room and stated, "I don’t like anything that I can wear. Why did armor have to go out of fashion?"

Ares carefully suggested "I could help if you want…"

He waved his hand and a dark blue, sleek, satin dress appeared. It had thick straps and a slit up one side. "I have always thought that you look stunning in this. Or if you’re really not in the mood to wear a dress...."

Ares set down the dress and waved his hand again; there was a dark maroon, sleeveless, turtle necked shirt and white jeans.

Xena laughed, "Alright, enough already, I get your point. You know, I should call Artemis, she always loves a good hunt."

Ares laughed too and watched Xena disappear into her room again.

Amanda asked "This...."

She held up a strapless black top, with blue silk pants. "Or this?"

She put that outfit down and held up a black, sleeveless dress and a long sleeved clear jacket. The dress was see-through at the stomach. Duncan picked up a loose top with straps that went around the neck and a pair of light blue jeans. "How about this?"

Amanda sighed "Only if it’s not dressy."

Aphrodite got in her pink corvette, she was wearing a pink satin T-shirt that showed her stomach and was low cut on top, white jeans and high-heeled pink sandals with thin straps. Devon got in the passenger side... he and Aphrodite were going to meet some of Dite’s friends for lunch. Devon asked "Aren’t we meeting friends for dinner too?"

Dite rolled her eyes. "Yeah, but we’re like gonna see mortal friends for lunch."

Devon smiled "How comforting."

Dite smiled too, "Totally is Sweetum's."

She pulled out and headed for her favorite lunch spot in New York.

‘Dite appeared in a walk in closet. "Whoa, Xe, you in here? Where’s the exit?"

Xena walked around her closet, found Dite and said "This way, I brought a compass. We’re in my clothes from the 1800’s the exit is this way. What are you here for anyway?"

Dite said "I swear a couple more miles and your closet will be 1/4 as big as mine! Anyway I gotta go, I just came by to say that it’s a fancy dinner, you know a nice dress?"

Xena nodded "Fine. I’m out of here then."

They both disappeared.

Dite reappeared next to Amanda. "Hey, fancy dress. I totally stress the dress part.” Amanda nodded “Fancy dress, got it Aphrodite.” Dite nodded “Good! I gotta go change, bye ‘Mandy!"

Amanda waved "Yeah, uh, bye ‘Dite!"

Aphrodite snapped her finders and she was suddenly wearing a long pink satin dress. The top was like a bra and was built separate from the rest of the dress. The dress had a split on each side all the way up to just below her bust. She had on the same shoes. ‘Dite smiled "PERFECT! Devy, you ready? It’s time to go!"

Devon walked downstairs and asked, "Do I pass inspection? Yes, Dite, I’m ready."

Dite smiled "Yep, you totally do. Come on, you’re driving, I totally have to fix my hair up."

With a snap of her fingers they were both in her car, with a wave of her arm they were in Paris.

Amanda, who was in a black, sleeveless dress and a long sleeved clear jacket. The dress was see-through at the stomach, pulled on black high-heeled boots and rushed out the door after Duncan. Duncan was wearing a tan cotton turtleneck, black suit pants and a long black coat, his hair was back in a ponytail. He held the door for Amanda as she rushed through. Duncan chuckled as they headed for her red Viper. "Will you relax, Amanda, it’s just Aphrodite’s brother!"

Amanda searched in her purse for her keys, Duncan handed them to her. "That’s the problem, she had three brothers, Hermes, Ares, and Apollo. If I knew which one we were meeting I’d feel better."

Duncan assured "I’m sure it’s someone that she gets along with... I’ll drive. Now unless you want to be late we should go."

Xena walked out of her room in a maroon, long, sleek silk dress. It had a split up one leg, was sleeveless, had a princess bodices and a matching sheer wrap. She was wearing matching high-heels, gold bracelets in place of her gauntlets, gold earrings, and a gold choker. Xena looked around. "Ares? I’m ready...."

Ares appeared, he was wearing black silk pants, a black long-sleeved shirt, his pendant and his sword earring. "You look gorges as always, my dear, shall we go?"

Xena took Ares’ arm and said "The sooner we are both back in leather the happier I’ll be."

Ares nodded a smile teasing his lips. They disappeared.

Aphrodite and Devon arrive at the restaurant first. Devon parked, helped Aphrodite out of the car and led her into the restaurant. The waiter, Fraser, walked up to them and kissed Aphrodite’s hand. Aphrodite giggled as he led them to their table. "Sir, Madam, call if you need anything."

Dite sat down and smiled "Oh I totally hope they get here soon! I like French customs and all I just hope Fraser doesn’t do that to Xe... Ar would be totally pissed."

Devon sat next to Aphrodite and asked, "You know him? Is that why he didn’t ask for your name?"

Dite smiled "Of course, silly, like don’t fret, we are like JUST friends. THERE’S ‘Mandy!!"

Amanda and Duncan walked over. Duncan sat next to Devon and Amanda sat next to him. "Hey, Aph... who’s your guy?"

Dite said "Hey ‘Mandy, that’s Devon. Devy, this is Amanda and her fiancé, Duncan. You look GREAT, ‘Mandy!"

After a few minutes Ares and Xena walked in accompanied by a crash as Fraser hit the ‘Please wait to be seated’ sign. Amanda winced "Ouch."

Duncan and Devon laughed... Fraser had deserved that. Dite jumped up and cried "Ar! Over here, bro!"

Ares walked up to his sister, who ran and hugged him, and lifted her in the air. Xena walked up as Ares put Aphrodite down, she was dusting herself off. Ares said "Hey, Dite, I haven’t seen you in over a century."

Aphrodite giggled and hugged Xena too. "It hasn’t been that long, has it, bro? Sit down. So, Xe, you threw Fraise?"

Ares sat down and Xena complained, "Dite, you’re suffocating me!"

Dite sat down between Devon and Ares. Xena sat down between Ares and Amanda and Dite introduced. "My big bro, Ares. Xena. Amanda and her fiancé, Duncan. And my Devon, OKAY? Here comes the salad!"

Duncan asked cautiously, you never knew with Aphrodite. "You ordered for us, Aphrodite?"

Aphrodite nodded. The new waiter set down salads in front of them all. "Six Caesar salads, the main course will be along shortly."

Xena winced and Dite made a ‘Sorry’ face.

By the time the Deserts arrived there were two full conversations going on. Duncan, Ares, and Devon, who had majored in history, were discussing wars. Aphrodite was trying to discuss fashion through history with Xena and Amanda, but both Amanda and Xena kept correcting the men on some war. Desert was fruit crape; Dite was on a diet again. Amanda asked, "How’s your cosmetic line going, Dite? I’ve been looking for your name but I can’t seem to find it."

Xena raised an eyebrow. Dite exclaimed, "Oh, totally forgot to tell you. Statistic’s showed that Roman was more ‘in’ than Greek. So it’s Venus’ cosmetics now."

Xena laughed. "Venus? You haven’t gone by your Roman name in years, Venus."

Amanda laughed too. Dite--or should we say Venus? Bit her lip. "Not since that damn Williams sis got more pop then me! I mean it was sweet at first that she was named after me, but she has like NO fashion sense!"

When the check arrived Aphrodite looked at Xena and asked "Like you got any Greek on ya? I like totally never keep stuff like that."

Xena dug through her purse and handed Dite some coins. "Here, have fun."

Dite waved over the waiter. "Umm... Ex-squeeze me, I’m from out of France. Do you accept Greek?"

The waiter nodded and Dite smiled "Thanks, sweet cheeks, keep the change."

Amanda asked "Dite, what did you do?"

Dite smiled again "Oh I gave him Grecian money, just not from the right time period."

Duncan shook his head and Devon said "Alright, fun over, let’s go."

Ares looked at Xena, who nodded, and asked, "Do you want to come over to our place?"

Dite giggled "Oh, Ar, that is like so totally cool!"

Everyone agreed and when they were all outside Xena took Amanda’s hand, Ares took Duncan’s hand, Aphrodite took Devon’s hand and they all disappeared.

They reappeared on Mt. Olympus in Ares and Xena’s palace. Aphrodite gushed, "Ooh I miss Olympus... I mean New York’s fun and all but it’s nothing like home."

Xena smiled "Welcome to Mt. Olympus... or a part of it. Hermes, Hera and Hephaestus are still here. Ares and I just moved back from New Zealand. Apollo is in Florida. Artemis is in the Amazon somewhere and Cupid is in Australia."

Dite gasped, "Hephie is still here?"
