Angels
The existence of the spiritual, non-physical beings that Sacred Scripture usually calls 'ANGELS' is a truth of faith. Angels have a huge role in Christian history--announcing Christ's birth, and protecting Christ in the wilderness.
Angels are pure spirits and don't have corporeal (physical) forms. They remain non-physical forever. Angels speak "within" a person, and not "to" them, thereby maintaining their spiritual nature.
Each individual also has his or her own guardian angel. Guardian angels can intervene in human affairs to help people. They can also influence people's senses and imaginations, but not their will. They remain with their charges even in heaven. The Catechism states: "From infancy to death human life is surrounded by their watchful care and intercession." C
Gabriel, Raphael, and Michael are the 'chief' angels, called archangels. Gabriel announced to Mary that she would give birth to the son of God. Michael's role includes fighting evil. Raphael appears as the angel who helped Tobiah cure his father's blindness in the book of Tobit.
Spirit Guides
We like to think that we are independent and can do things for ourselves. But in reality, we have many helpers around us to help through our lives. We are not islands to ourselves.
Guiding forces have been part of our existence since the beginning of life. They are drawn to you because of an interest in your life expereince or because they have been with youu in previous lifetimes.
There are three classifications of guides:
1. Personal Guides
Before our souls incarnated into the bodies we have now, we decided what types of experinces we wanted to have to help our soul evolve. But now that we have taken on this physical body, we may be doing other things than oour life purpose. This is when our guides will coke into our influence and gently nudge us onto our path again.
