Gentian

The gentian actually is part of a grat familly called gentianacea. Which includes Daisies , bluebell, sunflowers , forget-me-nots and even mustard flowers.

Ken's image flower is one of the two flowers on the top. The Mountain gentian and/or the Harebell. One or the other you guys decide.

The name, "gentian", is derived from "Gentius", a King of Illyria who, according to the on-line Botanical Dictionary, "found the herb to have a healing effect on his malaria-stricken troops".
