INTRO TO HARRY!
Ok, Harry Potter is a young boy whose parents die when he is very young (just 1 year old!). This wouldn't be SOOO abnormal, except for the fact that they were killed bey a dark wizard named Voldemort! Now, Lily and James were wizards too (of course!), and they tried to fight him when he came, but they were no match for Voldemort. When his father had been killed, Voldemort turned his wand on harry. His mother, whom Voldemort didnt want to have to kill, stood in front of Harry and somehow stopped the spell, through her body!! Little Harry escaped with just a lightning bolt scar on his forehead! Now, Harry is a 14 year old boy (after 4 books) who goes to a wizardry school called Hogwarts, in his 4th year! He lives with his horrible relatives (the only relatives of his still alive) the Dursley's. Harry hates the Dursleys, which is understandable, as they act likme he is a mouse or something. They barely feed him, so he is always hungry. Harry goes to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where he takes subjects such as Potions, Transfiguration, Divination, History of Magic, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, Charms, and Care of Magical Creatures. Potions, taught by Professer Snape (who hates Harry, and whao Harry hates), is where he mixes together ingredients to form potions like a truth serum, or a shrinking potion. In Tranfiguration, Professer McGonagall teaches them how to turn one thing into another, like a porcupine into a pincusion. At Divination, their teacher, Professer Trelawny, shows them how to 'predict' the future. In History of Magic, easily the most boring subject, Professer Binns (the only ghost teacher) rambles on about goblin rebellions of the past. Defence Against the Dark Arts, very interesting, and a new teacher each year, the class learns how to recognize dangerous creatures, and how to block curses. Professer Sprout, the Herbology teacher,shows them how to grow and take care of magical plants. In Charms, the class is showed how to make things fly, float, dissapear, and other strange things! Hagrid teaches Harry Care of Magical Creatures, a subject where they learn how to take care of magical creatures! At school, Harry is best friends with 2 other students, Ron Weasley and Hermoine (Her-my-own-ee) Granger. The three became friends during their first year at school, and have stuck together. Even though Harry has other friends, Ron and Hermoine are his best friends. Dumbeldore, a wise old man, is Headmaster of Hogwarts. Dumbeldore helps Harry in many ways throughout the years, saving his life several times. Dumbeldore has a long white beard, down past his waist. |
