Perfection
After looking for hours and hours, Nancy had found it! It would go great with her new skirt! She hesitated only for a second as this young but pretty girl strolled ahead of her into Perfection. Perfection was Nancy's favourite store, but for a girl like that it must be fairly foreign, Nancy thought. Nancy watched as this girl hungrily eyed up the bracelet; she was staring at the very one Nancy was getting.
Calmly, Nancy walked up to the till and told the man behind the counter that she was here to buy the bracelet in the display stand. He glanced towards the other girl, clearly not realizing that he was speaking to Nancy Peters! She slyly gave him "the look," the one her mother had spent days teaching her to perfect, and he left to get her bracelet. She turned to watch the poor girl's face as he took the gorgeous bracelet from the box. She could see them talking, and she imagined the words he'd be using to comfort the girl. He returned with her wonderful bracelet. "I'm sorry, dear," she knew he was about to apologize to her about the misunderstanding, "the beautiful young lady over there has already paid for it." WHAT!
She let out an inaudible scream as she tried to comprehend just what was going no. The ugly witch who bought the bracelet was suddenly beside her saying, "Hi, sorry, I saw this bracelet so long ago and fell in love with it. I've been making payments on it, and oh, it is a beautiful bracelet, isn't it!" Nancy faked a smile, and the "thing" continued on, "It's sad that there's only one, but at least I know my mom will like it. I'm meeting her for the first time today; it's a gift. She's..."
Nancy cut her off, "Ya, well, I saw one just like it across the street for half the price." She hadn't really meant to say that; it had just popped out. She felt a bit sorry as the girl walked out, but Nancy got over it quickly.
Nancy turned and marched briskly out the door, flicked out her cell and desperately called up her father; no answer. She quickly tried Maxwell, her chauffeur; no answer. Something must be up; this was strange. She regrettably took a cab home.
She made it home in time to see her mother and father waiting anxiously; they casually nodded a hello and continued to stare past her. A car pulled up behind Nancy, and she heard her mother whisper, "She's here." Her father took Nancy's hand and led her inside. Nancy took one final glance behind her to see her mother receiving a gift. A small box the size of a bracelet. A perfect bracelet.

Alikabok
Delicately, the pink blooming
Petals float to the lush
Meadow floor. The quiet shadows
Still the Breeze. Freedom. The
Methodical trickle of the stream
Beside the roots. Blurred memories
Stir the strings of distant long agos.
Peace. Stillness. Rest.

Hand in Hand
Hand in Hand
-
We step onto the smooth marble floor.
The coolness seeps up my toes and into my finger tips.
The intricately carved, golden doors swing open.
My breath catches, my fingers squeeze.
The long awaited moment.
I blink.
All is still.
He leads me gently inside;
soothingly whispers in my ear;
and we ascend the stairs.
It looks like there are many.
Shadows playfully dance across the walls.
A hallway.
Large, free, non-confining.
The breeze caresses my face.
A calm and peaceful melody softly coos in the distance.
A door, with my name on it.
Finally.
We're here.
His scarred hand eases the door open;
the wind engulfs me, calls me inside.
We go in together
-
Hand in Hand.

Shadows
I see the shadow slide
across the page. Tiny vibrations
create such precise lettering. My
mind, unthinking, leaves a trail of
thoughts. I focus on the shadow,
it is magical, serene, unreal.
the ugly truth: the pen, tool,
created the permanent markings.
Not the shadow, but
the instant the shadow meets the
tool, a puddle, a line, flows out. This is
what love is. The gentle rhythmic
scratching on the paper, creating
delicate swirls. The ink

My Lord
Longing fulfilled.
No longer waiting.
Gently cared for, my heart, together with yours.
Cradle me in your arms, hold me close.
I want to hear your heart beat.
Safe Secure Simply
In your arms.
Wrap me like a baby.
I'm yours. Take me.
Use me for your purposes.
Lord, you cradle me in your arms,
And rock me slowly.
Whisper your lullaby in my ears.
No frets, with your tender love.
My eyes, heavy, close,
To the sight of you.

Sunshine
We belong together
Just like the sun and shine,
The sun would not be the sun
If it did not shine the brightest of all;
And what shines brighter than the sun?
Cookies and milk are fine for some
But I prefer the sunshine.

Al-Shaddam
Adonai, Al-Shaddai, Lord.
I am bruised and battered.
Cut-down and crying.
Inside I am dying.
Like everyone, everywhere.
Find me here, Lord.
Get me out of this
Hole
I have jumped into.
Keep me.
Life has not been
Meaningless.
Not at all, because
Only you can change me.
Give me purpose.
I don't want to quit.
I'm real, ravished, wrecked.
So
Take me, if you can.
Use me, if you can.
Verify this vacant aching.
In whatever way you can.
My God, Christ, X,
Yahweh.
My Zephyr, softly blowing wind.

Goth
Fly deeper. Jungle.
See: Huge craters and furrows.
Carved by: Fire! Just attack
though damage is immense.
Crushed and blacked.
Streets buckled now Jungle
Canopy: struck!
Quiet, multitude of creatures.
Bludgeoned into silence.
Fled...
Still, impossible to rejoice.
Smells. Heat. Home.
At last.

We Cry
"Everything'll be alright,"
You're the one who is
"eventually. Though it is"
crying. Not me. It's
"a little too soon to han-"
been four whole days. You
"-dle. Look, see everyone is"
think too much. But he
"here. He would've been pleased to"
is not here. Ya, I
"see them. Though I still"
know, both you
"miss him"
and me.

Softly fall autumn leaves.
Dazedly,
Peaceful dreaming
Hush.
Listen,
Hidden Memories
Whisper.
