I am sorry we didn't get to the service. I didn't know the name Evans. It was different when we were in college. So I wasn't aware until I heard thru the grapevine and certainly didn't expect it to be her. WE just spoke with her parents last week and They said She was just as happy as ever could be and we were so happy for her. She was a wonderful lady. She always had the biggest smile no matter what or how bad she was feeling. She will be deeply missed by all who know her. GOD BLESS YOU ALL, Our prayers are with you all. Her presence would light up the room. She was a good friend of my sister's and that was how I came to know her. I'll never forget the comfort she gave my mother and I the first Christmas after my father died. I was only eight years old at the time. After my sister went back home to Houston, Vanessa often checked on my mother and I. She gave the BIGGEST hugs!! I'm so sorry for your loss. You are all in my prayers. Life is precious and time slips away. We must hold dear what we have each and every day. They would not want us to cry or be sad But to remember the good times and to be glad God said he will never leave you alone. And someday you will see them again when you go home. And though, as the years passed, we didn't see each other often, when we did it was like no time had passed. I too remember her hug's, when she hugged you, you stayed hugged a good long time. I will miss her, but the memories in my heart will always remain, and I am so lucky to have known her. My deepest sympathy to her family. It never goes away ,but in time you start thinking of the good times and happy time together . Little things she always did . Like when she see you she'd come up and hug you like no one else could ever do. You felt her love was so strong when she hugged you . Bud always would say (HEY DON"T Hurt me ) .She'd laugh and hug you more. I remember yrs. ago when we had party some !!!LOLO and she almost fell out my bathroom window , trying to get her in the shower. It's those kinds of things that will always make her alive in your heart .Along with her sisters . I love them like a sister. My sympathy is with Her Husband Don, And Hazel, and Wiley . and Jr. and Wanda and Mona And Linda. her love will always be with you.
