Set in a future where chaos and greed reign supreme, "Andromeda" is a show full of adventure and complex interpersonal and interracial developments. Dylan Hunt (Kevin Sorbo), Captain of the starship Andromeda was betrayed by his Nietzschean second-in-command and cast adrift on the edge of a black hole. While he and his ship remained trapped in time, the Commonwealth, a vast network of worlds and races, collapsed and disbanded. 200 years after it's fall, the Andromeda is pulled out of the anomaly by an enterprising band of salvage operators. Led by Beka Valentine (Lisa Ryder), the Eureka Maru extracts the ship and revives Dylan and Andromeda. Thwarting the takeover of his ship, Dylan recruits the crew of the Maru as his own. Together Dylan, Beka, Tyr Anasazi (Keith Hamilton Cobb), Seamus Harper (Gordon Michael Woolvett), Trance Gemini (Laura Bertram) and Andromeda herself (Lexa Doig) travel the galaxy attempting to reform and renew the Commonwealth. |

Kevin Sorbo (as Dylan Hunt here) is also known for his work as Hercules on both "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" and "Xena: Warrior Princess". He has also guest starred on a few episodes of "Dharma and Greg", portraying a romantic interest that comes between the couple. |

The biggest reason I keep coming back to watch Andromeda is Keith Hamilton Cobb (shown as Tyr Anasazi). He's a vision of strength and beauty, and his character's race (Nietzschean) is fascinating. He's a gifted actor, a humanitarian, and a great photographer to boot. If you'd like to know more, I recommend his official site. |

Lexa Doig (shown as Rommie, the Andromeda's avatar) is just beautiful. She plays the character as a quirky, funny, exploration-minded starship looking for a fight. It's a great role, and I'm glad she's doing it. She also has about the coolest name going. |
