| This page is about two future projects that I have. The first one is non CS related. Since I've been taking Web Design courses for the past month now, and that I've made this site with pure HTML, I've decided to do the opposite for my next project. That means going all the way with Dreamweaver, Flash and Fireworks. The site will be a Tim Burton fan site. Tim is my favorite film Director and I love his unique brand of films. I thought, hey, why not make a great big site about Tim and his films! It'll have a Flash intro, great navigation system, Galleries, lots of info about Tim Burton and all of the movies he's made from Vincent and Batman, to Sleepy Hollow and Planet Of The Apes. I should start this site early next year, probably in mid-January. I'm really looking forward to putting my knowledge of Website Design and Tim's films to work. I promise you it will be an experience and a great resource for fans of Tim's work, and I know there are a lot :) So I'm looking forward to seeing you there. The address of the site will be disclosed on my Geocities Counter-Strike site and on this present site.

For the second project, it will be something in constant evolution, a work in progress. This one IS CS related. I'm talking about an online Counter-Strike comic book. Since I already wrote a few short stories and that I'm working on a novel (which I will never finish at this rate!), I think I'm qualified to write a CS comic book. I collected comic books for thirteen years, from the age of ten to twenty-three. I even had my own comic book store for awhile when I was twenty-one! Comics today are not at all what they used to be; they're overly expensive, have a lot less panels and are far less original than what I grew up on. My personal favorites have always been Detective Comics, Batman, Sandman, Lobo and most of what Dark Horse Comics put out in the late Eighties and early Nineties (like those great Aliens VS Predator mini-series!). My favorite writers are Neil Gaiman, Chris Claremont, Alan Grant, Alan Moore and Bob Kane, creator of Batman. |
I might be able to write but I'm no artist when it comes to drawing! For the job, a friend of mine, Uriel, will be doing the honors as the artist of the book. We will do this on paper, the good old way, then scan the pages, ink and color the comic book with Photoshop and upload the finished comic on the website of which I will be Webmaster. We're planning on releasing many comics online, like three or four issue story arcs. We'll see how people like it. I personaly think it's a great idea; when was the last time you read a comic book online? Okay, now, when was the last time you read a Counter-Strike comic book online or on paper? Probably never. That's what makes this project so interesting. I'm looking for a host like Planet Half-Life or Counter-Strike.net. I'll submit the idea to them once we're ready to start. I have no idea of when the first comic would be ready, but I hope we could have something for next Spring. That'd be nice. You'll know more by tuning to this site, my Geocities CS site or the future Tim Burton fan site.
As you can see, I intend to keep myself pretty busy next year, I like having projects like that lined up, it keeps me awake and alive! Well that's it, I hope some of you are interested in one of these two projects. If you have any suggestions or comments, feel free to mail me. You just have to click the "e-mail" rotating logo on the main page. I'll see you all soon. |
