"God is Unconditional Love." See all the mistakes, pollution, murder, disease, pain, crying, misery, and death in the world?
"God is Unconditional Love, and never negative. Notice how religious hypocrites are intolerant and bigoted?"
"The Grace of God enables us to live like the Devil, yet God accepts us the way we are. So everyone will go to heaven - even Satan."
The hyprocritically pseudo-righteous, willfully ignorant, and rebelliously mindless blatter on with intolerant condemnatory accusations. True Christians are misrepresented, ignored, reviled, and blasphemed. Even Jesus is called a fraud, fake, and liar.
So how do and should genuine Christians react to disbelievers?
There are two ways at least to see how:
(1) The natural phenomena which the Creator has created, and associated characteristics and consequences related to that, and
(2) The record of Divinely-inspired human authors of the Lord's historical and operational intentions called "The Holy Bible."
Pertaining to (2) above, Scripture does exist, and cannot be ignored. Authentic open-minded scientists must take everything (not obviously self-destructive to investigate) into consideration to be legitimate, intelligent, honest, and accurate in their assertions and assessments.
Regarding Point (2), the first negative mentioned in Holy Writ is in Genesis 1:18 and was said by the Creator Himself, stating: "It is not good that man should be alone..."
The next negative mentioned was from Satan, saying: "Did God say that you shall not eat of any tree...." The third negative was from Eve, who replied: "...you shall not eat of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die."
So much for only positives and nothing but positives with never any negatives. Right in the opening verses of the Bible.
Scripture mentions "the grace of God." What is that? Is it not God's favor to us which we have not earned? "God sends His rain on the just and on the injust" (Matthew 5:45). "While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). And "God shows no partiality" (Acts 10:34, Romans 2:11, Gal. 2:6, Eph. 6:9, Col. 3:25). For cultic catholics, anglicans, episcopalians, and others who base their self-righteousness on particularly ceremonial and ritualistic deeds of self-atonement alleged to be "good," the concept of the grace of God is a non-resolvable mystery to them, as was the righteous need for the sinless Christ to be baptized by his cousin John.
Negativism is a significant part of the remainder of the Bible beyond Genesis. The refractory would have to have their heads up their rectums to avoid seeing the thou-shalt-not commandments of the Mosaic Pentateuch, the plagues of Egypt, conquest against Canaanites, actions of the Old-Testament judges and kings, complaints of Job and David, foreboding condemnations and predictions of the prophets, and even the criticisms from Jesus and Paul and Peter in the New Testament.
Admittedly, there is much positive, of course to balance it all out. And for those saints who comply in submissive accomodation to the will of God as revealed in the Bible, the ultimate and eternal resolution is quite positive and only VERY positive.
Regarding Point (1), we see how we as Christians do and should react to people - not with a legalistic tit-for-tat by-the-law immentality - but simply how we automatically respond to others by the Spirit's nature ingrained within us.
God the Creator is benevolent to everyone. His agape love is bestowed on all unconditionally. Are you comfortable now with his reliable gravity in the appropriate intensity? Do you like the comfortable air temperature and air composition around you? Appreciate the warm cozy sunlight in the day and refreshing cool of night? Love clean clear water to drink plus lakes and rivers to marvel at, then fish and swim therein? Are snow-capped mountains beautiful to behold? The prestine pulchritude of pretty women - especially when in the buff? Appreciate urination, defecation, sleep, and good food? I could go on and on. The all-pervasive benevolence of the Creator is overwhelming.
But....
If we violate any of His natural phenomena (and we frequently both have and continue to do so), we injure ourselves (and many others), for which we ALONE are to blame. The consequences of our violation against Nature and natural principles (as given by Scripture and elaborated by scientists)....are our OWN fault.
God has determined that poisons can even lethally poison human bodies, that high-voltage amperage can mortally electrocute human bodies, that tornadoes and dynamite can rip bodies apart, that trees are not meant as targets for vehicular drivers, that cliffs are not meant to be jumped over by the non-parachuted.
WHY all the bad in God's good creation?
The many on the broad and easy road to destruction, though made in the image of God, have been to blame, and continue to deserve the blame. But the few on the hard and narrow road to life deserve the honor and the glory.........forever.
