Mai is the type of girl who uses looks to get what she wants and this kinda tick Anzu off. She is a very skilled duelist with her Harpy Lady and various strategies. Though with her dueling skills she was defeated by Jounouchi, who left her with a set of words which gave her chills:

'That's just it... you can see it, but this, you couldn't see!'

When Yugi dueled Killer Player on her behalf she understands what the real Yugi is and has become another addition to Yugi's group to Battle City.
