METAL HAVOC ZINE #2 - B/W, 60 pages
in half A4 size. This zine is actually dated Dec. 2001 but this is just
released this April 'coz Vro's is so fucking busy with his studies like
Satan doing his business in hell! Vro will be graduating from college
this year & will be entering the Hellish realm of the working class
soon!!! Har har har... goodluck mate!!! Anyway, back to the zine...I
really got to read this not because I have an interview here (Har har
har... many filthy fucking people would really want to kill me now!!!)
but because I now have lots of lovely sweet fucking time to read it. I
got this copy after I quit my job & move my arse to another place.
Back again to the zine... now more philippine bands have an interview
here, the legendary bm band "Incarion", the Kristian
Annihilators "Korihor" & the death metal band
"Pathogen". Bands across the seas are "Twisted Tower
Dire", "Aurora Borealis" & "Myth" all of
USA, "Lunatic Gods" of Slovakia, "Alliance" of
Finland & "Valhalla" of Germany. Plus some bio/info on
"Dream" the dark metal gods of Poland!, DVS Records of
Netherlands, Nightside of Italy, Astaroth of Malaysia &
Hammerhawk of Netherlands. Of course you have the music reviews &
Vro's "From the past reborns the storm...", a guide to heavy
metal paradise! Oh, Metal Havoc zine also has a tape compilation with
the bands featured plus additional stuff from other bands. It is sold
exclusive in the Philippines & for trade internationally. Do ask for

BAKAL ZINE # 1 - 1st thing, A quick
Philippine language lesson, Bakal is Metal in our language, so I'll bet
you know what it's all about. 2nd thing, some folks here in the capital
thought this was the same as Bakal newsletter that use to be circulating
here. So, that is not true. This is Bakal Zine of Davao from the camp of
Korihor band. This has a B/W glossy cover & with a simple very
readable outline. Abhorrence & aaarrrghh Fuck! Sorry mates! That is
the only interview that I read. Because of my fucked-up-time-consuming
job I have laid this zine aside 'coz I can always read it when I have
more free fucking time time right! But then some shitty thing happened
(which is why I am discontinuing my metal activities for now) & I
decided to give my copy to Vro of Metal Havoc zine. I totally fucking
forgot that I haven't reviewed it yet. You can either wait for Metal
Havoc' review or not 'coz if you know the dedication of the Korihor band
& their ways of blasphemy you'll know this will be a good read &
done in the great underground way! I did fucking browse it & saw not all photos are clear.
This is P200 in the Philippines & $5 elsewhere (pls. verify the
price to Obispo 1st!). This is not available for trade which some people
I know are pissed about, well, Obispo had to cover the expenses

SIT DOWN # 1 - 56 pages Half A4 B/W. This is a HC/Punk zine.
This is made by the guitarist of Friendship7 band whom I also
interviewed for this webzine. One of the hc/punk band in my home area
who are great enough to listen to some metal & not really a metal
hater punks & have that real punk attitudes. Anyway, this is
cut&paste tech & for punk zines they always like those chaotic
look, so this got that. I haven't fully read this, I've been browsing it
through & just picking things that interest me.. I like it when
people share their minds & other shits they think off. So i 1st read
their personal stuff in here, then the reviews & the hunting for the

#9 - 81 pages A4 B/W. The longest running zine here, with a
wider base of reader 'coz it is a punk & a metal zine. The features
& page setting is very chaotic, where I think is very hard to do
& I know its intentionally done that way. Besides from the inties
with the Great Kat, Vrykolakas, Sift, Valley of Chrome, the Hellacopters,
Defleshed, bloodlet, handpainted wall & total fucking destuctions,
you get reviews both music & zines & extra crazy stuff from

pages. This was released in year 2000 so it has probably a newer issue
but this still kills! Created in the Cut & Paste art form,
interviews with Flesh Feast, Skinless, Vastion, Unburried, Unborn, De
Madeliefjes, Kremush, Regurgitation + reviews of underground stuff. With
a gruesome psycho maniac killer cover, many more splatter photos are
inside! Not for those with the weak stomach. I got this for trade

 Cherish the Darkness Zine #8 - A4 size Colored cover, Pro
print, 12 pages. Nice layout. Bands featured are Ebola, Hellwitch,
Necromicon, Brutal Truth, Medicine Death & Abigail. It has a
material about history of metal & a swedish scene report. Plus music
reviews. Well all of those would be so fucking nice to read if I can
read the Thai language! I would have been so fucking happy! All I can
bloody do is stare at the ancient form of writing & the pictures.
Trying to figure out what the interviews & articles are all about
will just give me a fucking headache! So for the people of Thailand

cover, photocopied in B/W, 76 pages. Bands are Bestial Mockery (Swe),
Mortuary Ancestor (Mal), Eternal Throne (Sin), Vrykolakas (Sin), Abigail
(Jpn), Dying Embrace (Ind), VI VI VI Latinus Ritus (Phil), Cave In Depth
(Jpn), Kekal (Ind), Succubus (Pol), Lacerate (Thai), Heretic Angels
(Thai), Sword of Darkness (Viet), Sanguinary (Neth), Vintage Solemnity (Tur),
Abysmal Fall (US), Effluvium (Phil), Brodequin (US), Basilisk (Jpn),
Trauma (Ind), Scurvy (Swe), Funeral Rite (Jpn) & the rest are music
reviews! Another great zine done in the 'cut & paste' art form! It
usually have an official bio of the bands interviewed so you get the
info you need. Plus lots of contacts, flyers & ads! The only
thing I can complain is the Thai bands interview. It would have been
great to read & know more about the Thai bands but...the interview
is in their language!!! Maybe you can ask Phithak for translation? So

Scene Zine #3 - 42 pages A4 B/W photocopied. It has an odd
cover where only people from the Philippines can relate to. This is a
punk / metal zine & hybrid of 'cut & paste' & computerized
stuff. Bands featured are Feud (Phils), Backfist (Phils), Vurcular/AB
Zine, Beowolf Prod (US), Antiqua (Mex), Vomitsnack (US), Beast Petrify
(Sin), Centinex (Swe), Effluvium (Phil), Agathocles (Bel), Lie Detector
(Phil), Marcos Cronies (Phil), Finger (Phil), Kratornas (Phil), Tungsten
(US) plus the usual Zine & Music reviews! The copies is not very
clear but it doesn't get in the way 'coz it is readable & some
spaces are a bit wasted, like the babes in swimsuit, they should have
been nude!!! 40pesos or trade, or equivalent in US$? This is done by
Nonoy Padrejuna & Punzis or Iryz, but some artibcles from Willie

#1 - 24 pages Half A4 size, photocopied B/W. I don't know
what the hell the title stands for! This got Belgium scene report plus
bands like Ravage & Opprobrium Adornment (Mal), no music review on
zine reviews plus some articles about anarchism & punk related
issues. Kia (A lad or a lass, I don't bloody know...) seems to have a
lot in his/her mind & do luv sharing it. But this is not just a punk
zine like punk rock or HC/Oi stuff, this is more into crust/grind/noise
