Lords of Destruction

This gig is titled 'LORDS OF DESTRUCTION' even though there is a Metal Meltdown banner at the stage. Christian has planned this gig to be joined by fellow metal brothers in the south, specifically Korihor & Decapitated from Davao. But due to lack of sponsorship, the plan can't did not materialize. I totally enjoyed this gig! Part of it is that the great venue & it's accessibility & the beers.... Main part is because of the killer bands that participated here! The only shitty things is that most photos were fucked-up! I have been told that this is the last gig to be organized by Christian / Spitfire Production. So I maximize my fun by drinking lots of beer. Anyway, the photos/bands are also in alphabetical order...


Dahong Palay...I remember this band as I remember an old friend from where I got to listen to their music every time we have a drinking session in my friend's house, & that happened so many times. That was years ago..Now I got to experience them live. Pinoy heavy / power metal with dark emotions. (For foreign friends: Dahong Palay is a dreaded poisonous snake that resembles the 'leaf of a rice plant' in appearance.)	Deceased... These guys are veteran band, having a crossover sound in the punk dominated scene of yesteryears. Now doing originals on Christian's request (?) + covers of danzig & pinoy rock legends juan dela cruz band.

End Time...a band that caught my full fucking attention 'coz it's the 1st time I see them & the music kills!!! Dark Death Black!!! Not only that, they already did 2 original tracks!! Fuck, this band needs some underground expo!!!( Vocalist is Baalberith of Funeral Frost)	Funeral Frost...the Dark Gothic Black Metal band who have an improved sound in a sense to the goth, 'coz they now have keys! Darkened the night w/ 4 original tracks!!!

Guardian Crucifix...all original death thrash band. I always enjoyed their set. Truly fucking intense metal!	JackHammer...another band that have that clear heavy thrash metal sound! I don't know if the tagalog (Philippine's main language) songs were originals. Still fucking enjoyable head banging!

John Doe...hell no? I failed to get this band name. I liked their style being very thrashy with a totally crusty vocals! The guitarist is the same guitarist of Pagan Fire.	Loss of Control...same intensity as the previous gigs I saw them played. Grinding New Metal...lots of groove & exhausting shouting growls!

Pagan Fire...minus the bassist/vocalist! Where the hell is he? They failed to get the sound they have from the previous gigs doing (old)Slayer covers. If you know (old) slayer, you can still play along in your head...	Pathogen...death metal. Originals plus covers of celtic frost, maiden (?) & judas priest. What the hell would you want more? head banging mania!

Tomb...I always enjoyed these brutal deathsters sets even when they played covers in the previous gigs. Now they played a couple of original musick & fuck I missed it!!! Curses!!! What the fuck I have done!!!Aaarrgghhh.	The Gang of Tomb & Crucifix after the gig!

This is why I missed the Tomb set! I quickly rushed to the Funeral gang to have some quick shots before they leave thinking I can catch up to the last 2 songs of Tomb...Then again...anyway, this photo is for the posers, pretenders & people (like Atan of Man Against God have said in our chat) who insist that they are underground but who have no fucking attitudes or principles of true underground creatures! Do you see the message? Middle Finger in My ASS!!!	Philippines Most Wanted! No particular crime, just metal fucking lust! Unholy creatures are Vro (Metal Havoc Zine/Production), Roy (UnderWorld AssProud-uction) & the gang of Deiphago! Pioneering black metal band of the philippines! The last time I saw these guys were in 1993 where they played with Crematorium & other bands in Manila. They're fucking alive! The news about Deiphagos re-awakening is not yet sure...I just hope they would slaughter again!!! Hey Roel (of Triplaium) how the hell are you?

Some band are not in this page. The main reason for that is not all photos were developed, most were fucked up. The ones you see hear are the ones my wife took, I think I suffered from 'masturbating hands' syndrome that night. Sorry guys. So, thanks to all the bands who played! To all supporters who stayed & truly experienced all the bands musick, you are the true metal fucking heads! Of course to Christian for having the guts to organize this gig & being very open minded on metal styles! As Christian has mentioned, this is his last organized gig for the year. Next year is another story.
