Our
tour landed at Holyhead, Wales. We meet our new, and favorite, bus driver...Derrick
(Decker). We past the town with the longest name in the world. Jonathan said the
Gaelic name as best he could and did an excellent job!
Note: In Gaelic the Ll is
pronounced KL
|
|
The name is
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch!
(Funny...why won't my spell
checker take that name! Haha!)
Our
tour led us past Snowdonia National Park, into a valley between beautiful
sweeping mountain sides to the town of Llangolin.
The town Llangolin was quite
charming. A song fest was going on at the time we were there. I couldn't help
myself but to open the window before going to bed and sing out into the quiet
rain-filled streets songs of tenderness. Wonderful experience!

Every
small town I entered in Great Britain had a memorial to
commemorate those who perished in WWII. |
