Stephan Sommers returns to direct the sequel 'The Mummy Returns' to Universal's smash hit 'The Mummy.' It takes place 9 years after the original movie. Now Rick and Eveyln are happily married and living in London with their 9 year old son, Alex. While on a dig, they come across a magical bracelet called the Bracelet of Anubis that once belonged to the Scorpian King, an ancient warrior who sold his soul to the god Anubis so he could have eternal life. An incarnation of Anck su namun named Meela shows up to ressurect Imhotep so he can defeat the scorpian king when he is reborn in ordr to take control of the Army of Anubis and conquer the world. They then capture Alex, who is wearing the bracelet. It's up to Rick, Evy, Johnathan, Ardeth Bay, and a pilot named Izzy to rescue him. To make matter worse, if Alex doesnt get to the pyramid within seven days, the life will be sucked outta him.
