After hearing that the state of Florida changed its opinion and let a Muslim woman have her picture on her drivers license with her face covered, I believe this is even more appropriate. Read on, please! This is an Editorial written by an American citizen, published in a Tampa Newspaper. He did quite a job; didn't he?

IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT.

I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.

I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to America. Our population is almost entirely comprised of descendants of immigrants. However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of America being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom. We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Arabic, Chinese,Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!

"In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture. If Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle. Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so. But, once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life, I highly encourage you to take advantage of one other great American freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.

Please pass this along if you agree. These messages should be sent to "Senators and Congressmen" . It's time they got the message. Also a reminder of who they are supposed to be working for, not what.($$$$$$$$$) )

ISSUE

I started out reading this message nodding and smiling in heart-felt agreement and then the third paragraph began…and all hope was lost as to the intelligence of the writer. 9-11 was caused by someone who has a motto similar to, “In God We Trust;” Someone willing to die for that motto and someone willing to die for their God. “In God We Die,” that would be a more appropriate motto…because that is exactly what happened to the nearly 3,000 people who died on September 11th, 2001; they died in the name of God. To make this very abhorrent subject become intertwined with God is ridiculous. Yet we have managed to do this with numerous bumper stickers and billboards waving the message “God Bless America” when the more appropriate message to expound now would be “United We Stand”, the true motto this country was founded on.

Men and women fighting to get away from religious oppression founded this country, and here we go preaching it…hell…demanding it be taught in our schools within just a few simple-minded statements. The first amendment was created in order to guarantee these new settlers the rights they had so long been denied and were so willing to fight for. The same ones we have fought to sustain in many wars. Whether your view of war be positive or negative you cannot deny the baseness of the afore mentioned fact. Yes, we have an extremely bad immigration system, and there are tons of extremely moronic people out there holding extreme liberal views, and that is what needs to be focused on here…and what actually was the focus until the idiotic third paragraph began.

What we need is a leader with balls in their pocket not someone who is happy to be jacked-off by lobbyists and polls. Bush is slowly becoming another Clinton by allowing more lax in our immigration system and trying so hard to please the polls. I admit that I voted against Bush because I do not agree with all of his platform, yet I did believe that on Sept. 11th we had placed a man with balls in office. Now I am beginning to see that there is no difference between Democrat or Republican…they just like to preach that they are different in order to get elected…then they all stick there manhood into the polls and ride it out…hoping to continue the orgasm for another 4-years. We need to place someone in office who isn’t there looking at what they need to do to get another 4-years…but what they need to do to make the ones they have gotten count.

So please, if you have a logical thought in your head, DO NOT forward the “Editorial written by an American citizen”, onto your friends, family, co-workers, and congressmen. Instead forward on the demand for a cease-fire to the US trying so hard to solve the world’s problems that they can’t even see the shit in their own backyard!
