Cupid's Arrow
When Cupid shot his arrow,
I thought that I would die.
Instead it came, straight and narrow,
I saw my love walk by.
I walked up and shook her hand,
Trying to be nice.
I told her that in this whole land,
Her beauty couldn't be seen twice.
I saw her eyes fill with glee,
I knew I'd won her heart.
And then we walked happily,
Never far apart.
Then the day was over,
And I was very sad.
I told her that I loved her,
It was the best day I ever had.
She thanked me and we kissed,
It seemed to last forever.
For if Cupid would've missed,
We wouldn't be together.
