At the end of the day when all is through,
The last thing on my mind is always you.
I remember the first days with you I spent,
And in detail how they went.
The first day was the very start,
And that is when you stole my heart.
I took in your beauty with my eyes,
And thought, "This is an angel in disguise."
As soon as I saw you, everyone else,
Just disappeared, leaving you and myself.
I felt as though all was right,
And to top a good day, I had a good night.
Our second date was twice as fun,
In fact, I never wanted it to be done.
I wish I could go back to that time,
Because I held you close, as if you were mine.
So that leads us to today,
