The
unicorn is a fabled white horse with a single straight
horn spiraling from its forehead. The creature often
symbolized virginity and was a popular design on tapestries
of the Middle Ages. This tapestry, created in the
late 1400s, is in the collection of the Cluny Museum
in Paris, France.
