Belial

Belial's name is also rendered as Beliel and Beliar. He seems to be a god of some enemies of the Jews who was made into a demon in Jewish estimation and appears to be confused with the chief of the fallen angels, that is Satan.

Saint Paul appears to equate Belial with Satan when he asks, 'What concord hath Christ with Belial?' (II Corinthians VI:15).

Belial is not to be confused with another fallen angel called Bileth, Beleth, Byleth, etc., whose sigil A.E. Waite offers in The Book of Black Magic and Pacts and who is evil, or Beliael, who is a good angel.

Another good angel is Bedaliel; he is a good angel invoked to exorcise bad angels like Belial.
