Personal reasons for liking some songs

Nothing Achieving - All of my dreams were just deceiving. The drumming in this song is nothing short of impossible. Stewart Copeland shows his true energy and excessive ability on the drums in this song. I take the literal meaning of this song as being that there is nothing worth achieving if you aren't with the person you love.
Dead End Job - I never want a dead end job.
Next To You - The line "All I want is to be next to you" is very relevant to some feelings I have...
So Lonely - It's shows a great understanding of how lonely people feel.
Hole In My Life - There is a hole in my life, something missing, and also a shadow in my heart which is tearing me apart. If you think I'm going to go into detail here, you are sadly mistaken.
Can't Stand Losing You - I love the progressional fifth and sixth line of each verse - "I guess you'd call it cowardice, but I'm not prepared to go on like this" in verse one, "You can call it lack of confidence, but to carry on living doesn't make no sense" in verse two, and "I guess you'd call it suicide, but I'm too full to swallow my pride" in verse three. The cover of the song is also gripping - it shows a man who has hung himself. I also like the fact that, when analysing the song, you can see at the beginning that the person is going to commit suicide.
Truth Hits Everybody - It cleverly identifies that the only certain thing in life is death. The chorus "Take a look at my new toy, it'll blow your head in two oh boy" is also very nice - not particularly on a lyrical level - as were the third and fourth lines which read "You lay their sleeping like an open doorway, I stepped outside myself and felt so cold". Part of it is to do with sex but does not seem disgusting.
Message In A Bottle - HERE WE GO! Every single word, it's meaning, the hidden meanings, the loneliness, the deserted island far away from everyone to emphasise the loneliness, the identification of depression leading to despair and the need to be rescued before it occurs, love being the greatest feeling in the world but breaking your heart, they are all relevant to me. The image of the island it puts into my mind was there before I had even heard this song.
Reggatta De Blanc - The music is superb.
Deathwish - The fact that it is the only song which seems to be about killing yourself but not through suicide, instead having a daring sensation, a deathwish, and being insane for feeling that way. The song is amazing. Once very close to my heart
Walking On The Moon - Very nice music. It comes in nicely and the bass line is good as well. Listening to the bass line makes me like it a lot more than I normally do, and I normally like it quite a lot.
Does Everyone Stare
- Identifying that when you are in love with someone you can't take your eyes off of them - you don't want to scare them, but you watch every move they make - which is reiterated in Every Breath You Take. Also identifies being in a cold sweat reaching for the phone, hanging up and deciding she's not home, writing her a song or a poem about how you feel,
feeling sorry for putting her through sheer hell, and knowing, deep down, that your shot will always miss.
Friends - Probably the most soothing chorus I have ever heard. I like the way the drumming changes for the chorus.
Don't Stand So Close To Me - Amazing intro, nice music, fantastic echoplex effects by Andy Summers after third verse with drumming and a bass line which suit it perfectly.
De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da - Once Sting has finished singing, it goes out to fantastic music again played by Andy Summers.
Behind My Camel - Nice, eerie instrumental. Good guitar work by Andy Summers.
The Other Way Of Stopping - Brilliant, energetic instrumental. The fact it is so quick and energetic is a parallel to the normal drumming technique of Stewart Copeland.
Shambelle - An amazing instrumental written by Andy Summers. Despite the change in tone it all fits together very well. The change to loudness is almost like a breakthrough, as if the music is telling some sort of story.
Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic - It is always about the woman you are in love with. You would always see that every little thing she does is magic.
Omegaman - Another unconventional Andy Summers song, like Friends, with superb music and nice lines such as "should I make that leap?" and the last two of the final verse "It's time for me to throw away this paper knife, I'm not alone in reaching for a perfect life".
Secret Journey - The music is to die for, the lyrics are brilliant and the guitar work is superb.
Synchronicity II - Perhaps the best drumming I have ever heard and superb lyrics as well. Once upon a time...(only certain people are entitled to this information so if you want to know, e-mail me and ask me. You will not all get an answer...)
Every Breath You Take - The greatest love song of all time, it says everything perfectly and reiterates what is said in "Does Everyone Stare" with the line "I'll be watching you". Unlike most people, I understand the jealousy of it. "I'll be watching you" is meant to say, from the person who says it to the person they love "No matter who you are with, what you are doing, I will always know because I will always love you and always be jealous, looking so that I know when you are doing something that makes me jealous even though it will drive me crazy".
Someone To Talk To
- Soothing music, brilliant lyrics, and well sung by Andy Summers, but if this had been the B-side for 'Every Breath You Take' it would have made people sick. Two such love songs could never go together like that.
I Burn For You - Her love flowing through you (if you're lucky enough for her to love you back), drinking at her pool, sleeping entwined, burning for her, all clever thoughts to bring out the love theme even more.
Once Upon A Daydream - The situation, whilst not nice on a social level, is fantastic in the song and the way the song progresses is impressive. The music in this song is very nice.
