The Dragonballs are orange balls with stars in the middle. When gathered together in one place, a dragon can be summoned and he will grant the summoner(s) a wish. Here are the different types of Dragonballs:
  • Earth Dragonballs-
  • The earth dragon can grant one wish to it's summoner(s) until the Cell Saga. Kame was no longer there, so Dende remade the dragon and adjusted it so that the dragon could grant two wishes. The dragonballs are orange with a white star in the center. For some reason, the four- star dragonball always returns to Grandpa Gohan's house, and each time Goku recovers it. Grandpa Gohan is probably the guardian or caretaker of the four-star dragonball.
  • Namek Dragonballs-
  • The dragonballs found on planet Namek look identical to those on planet earth, but they have different powers. The Namek dragon can bring people back from the dead, whether they have died more than once of not. It can also grant three wishes automatically.
  • Black Star Dragonballs-
  • The black star dragonballs were created long ago by Kami. These dragonballs are more powerful than the earth or Namek dragonballs, and they also look different. The black star dragonballs have black stars in the center, rather than white. These dragonballs, unlike the earth or namek dragonballs, are scattered throughout the galaxy, rather than just a planet. If the black star dragonballs are used, they use so much energy that the earth will be destroyed if the black star dragonballs aren't recovered within a year of their use. This is shown at the beginning of Dragonball GT.
