This building was set afire by a gueard, at the time there was no one living here, atleast that is what has been reported.

A suspicious fire destroyed the attic of a vacant building at Ridge Home early Sunday, the third such blaze in the last two months. No one was injured in the blaze.Firefighters saved a drenched black and white cat they found in the burning attic of the three-story brick building, said assistant chief Matt Kramer of the Arvada Fire Department.The fire, reported around 2:15 a.m., burned through and eventually collapsed the roof of the boarded-up structure.

A security guard was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of setting a vacant building on fire at the Wheat Ridge Regional Center. Michael George King, a two-week guard with Burns International Security Services, was released by Arvada police pending arson charges by the Jefferson County district attorney.Arvada detectives believe King, 24, set fire early Monday to the attic of one of the vacant buildings at the center, also known as Ridge Home."There are no further suspects,"
