The Phantom's Opera - is I daresay, a rather busy drawing. Most of my works feature the titular antihero and his protege. This particular format gave me the opportunity to illustrate many of the other characters....and yes, I imagine Raoul with a small moustache. Twas the fashion of the day, after all..

Where Night is Blind... - The first journey to the lair.

Lying in State... - Or sleep, rather. The dead awaken .... now get out of my sight!

The Boxkeeper

Gargoyle - The title is in reference to the lyrics of "Stranger than you dreamt it". Grotesques on architechture have always been a bit of an obsession for me, so naturally it was time to unite Le Fantome with one.

Masquerade - My version of Christine's Black Domino. Perhaps a bit immodest for 1881, but I shall blame that on overactive testosterone. I enjoy the opposites of red and blue against each other.

Dare You Trust... - The title's origin goes without saying. Erik seems rapt in his role of the dark angel here. The expression came off a bit harder than I had originally planned. However, bottled rage drives so much of the character, from an analyitical standpoint it was probably better.

Monochrome - Originally, it was intended to be another over-taxing detail piece with Paris in the background featuring the brooding Phantom in the foreground. As fate would have it, a rather melancholy cloud settled over my mood and I finished out the ink with verious Grey washes...slightly stormy and serene in the same instance.

Angel or Demon - A brooding Erik seen walking the tightrope betwixt light and dark, as all tragic antiheroes must. 8" by 11" Ink.

The Red Death - "Why so silent..?" 8" by 10" Ink.

The Opera House - Home of the greatest voices music has to offer, on the stage as well as below. 8" by 10" Ink and color wash.

Floating...Falling... - A rare moment of peace in an otherwise turbulent existence. 8" by 10" Graphite

Portrait in Ink - Aside from the hands, the most expressive physical assets are the eyes. With this, I wanted to create mixtures of ferocity, passion and depth. Possibly one of my newer favorites. 8" by 10" Ink.

Young Death - A memory of a life gone, taken by a vile mistress' trivial insult. This piece is a representation of the slave girl incident depicted in Kay's novel. 8" by 10" Mixed Media
