Introduction
Many people believe that Bible prophecy is about the end of the world. The truth is:
First: It is not the end of the world in the sense of total distruction or annihilation of our planet, but the end of the present world system. And....
Second: Bible prophecy indicates that after the fulfillment of the prophecies about the "end", there will be the beginning of a new and better world. *1
Don't be afraid to study these prophecies, there are many verses which speak of a wonderful "Golden Age" or "Millenial Kingdom", that will be established after the coming hell on earth.
One very important point to remember is that when you study Bible prophecy, never think you've got it all figured out. Many people also twist it in order to make themselves out to be someone greater than they really are. Watch out for this.
Understanding Bible prophecy has been compared to observing a distant mountain range. From a distance the range looks like one long mountain, but as you get closer you can distinguish between the different ranges. You can tell which mountains are in front, which are in back and so on.
With Bible scripture sometimes the events appear to be a mixed up. That's the way the prophets (who lived way back in the past) saw them. But, like with that mountain range, as we get closer to the fulfillment of specific prophecy, the picture gets clearer. Some prophecies will only be understood as they are happening.
The prophet Daniel did not understand the visions he was getting from the archangel Michael (Daniel 12:8-9) and, like any of us would, he wanted to know what he was seeing. But when he asked the angel what it all meant, Michael replied, "...the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end."--(Daniel 12:9) Daniel died never knowing what it meant.
What does that mean for us in this day and age? The angel said that the visions were "sealed (locked) until the time of the end". Interestingly, many of these prophecies are now open to us. A sign that we are getting closer to those "mountains".
Please keep in mind that these are only the basics here as many theologians now see them. This is the bare minimum that we have to have to get a clearer idea of these mysterious prophecies.
A warning: Many people are interpreting these prophecies without truly hearing from God. That is why I made this site to have no preaching. You can read it and then I strongly urge you to check it out for yourself in the Bible. Don't take any human's interpretation unless you have checked it thoroughly and are sure in your heart that God is showing you what is true.

According to Bible prophecy, there are some rough events coming in the future. One prophecy states that "...except those days should be shortened (or limited), there should no flesh be saved." (Matthew 24:22) The meaning is pretty clear. The Bible calls it, "distress of nations."
