Animal Master

Animal masters of Destiny are a mystical creed unlike any other. Their only concern tends to be with the animals, the creatures that help to make up the land. They are fellow followers of Lord Chylde so they also have some minor knowledge in dealing with plants, the other aspect that makes up the land. The other side of the coin one could say. They were given a special connection to all animals, one that can not be broken. As a result of this connection, every animal master will have at least one spirit form hidden deep within them that they are able to call upon at almost any time.

A spirit form is part of the animal master, the spirit of a creature that gave itself willingly, in body and soul, to the animal master. There is a reason to every spirit an animal master gains so do not take it for granted. Once the animal master has been granted a spirit form, a blessing, they are able to transform into the form for a short period of time each day. This is not just a blink and a quick change. They must concentrate and look deep within and if the spirit form is willing to answer, then a change occurs.

As mentioned, animal masters have a special connection to the creatures but this does not mean they are vegetarians or that they will not harm an animal. They have a complete understanding of the food chain, knowing that even the animals choose to eat meat. It is the sustenance of life just as water is needed to survive. They would only kill what they will eat, making sure the sacrifice of the animal was not in vain. There are many mixed views and each animal master will not think the same way.

Animal masters can be of any ethic, even darkheart. This brings up the question of will they harm an animal. The answer is yes to any ethic. If they are being threatened, there are many courses of action they can take, one being harming them. There are even some animal masters who hold the feeling that even though they have a connection with these creatures, they are superior in some way.

Calls of the Animal Master

An animal master also has available to them certain calls that they have learned from the animals. The calls can only be used while the animal master is in normal form (not a spirit form). The % to succeed is equal to the animal master's % to hit. Only one call can be used at a time and each separate call can not me used more than 3 times per day or event. Calls can not be used while in animal spirit form.

Beastial Fury - This call will invigorate the animal master with rage, the natural fury of the animal kingdom. It will give the animal master a +10% to hit and a +2 damage for d4 rounds.

Call of the Fox - This call instills the animal master with the quick reflexes of the fox, a tiny creature yes but one that is not to be underestimated. If successful, the animal master will gain a +10% evade for d4 rounds.

Turtle Summons - This call, as unusual as it sounds borrows the idea from a turtle of the hard thick shell used for protection. If the animal master can correctly complete this summons, there body becomes a hard thick shell, giving them a +10% soak (not going over their max amount of soak) for a period of d4 rounds.

Stampede - The animal master is able to reach out to the surrounding wildlife and ask them to create a stampede to crush all opponents or enemies. At level 1 this will cause a 2d2 damage to all it hits, at level 5 it will cause 2d3 damage to all it hits, level 10 will cause 2d4 damage to all it hits and level 15+ it will cause 2d6 damage to all it hits.

Animal Master Skills

Unless otherwise stated, all skills will start at a 30% chance to succeed with a +5% to for every even level gained.

Animal Communication - Any animal master can automatically communicate with any animal (host discretion if in event) but of course, they may have to roll on occasion. They can communicate with the animals whether telepathically or via normal verbal speech.

Animal Healing - They must roll to succeed, but if they are successful, they are able to heal any animal for 2d4 points of healing using the plants/herbs in the immediate area or even  loose plants or herbs found on their sheet (can not be something that already does a heal.)

Animal Sensory - This must be done on a roll and only while in their human (or natural) form. This will grant the animal master the temporary use of one of its spirit forms senses or abilities that do not involve harming another in any form. Meaning they could use the keen sight of a hawk, or the sonar abilities of a bat (when they are in the dark and need to find their way around). It must be something that any species of their particular form can use. This is always left to host discretion on whether or not it can be used in certain situations.

Animal Training - Animal Masters also have the ability to tame and train some creatures. This is really basic training but they can not teach an animal to harm someone in any way though they can teach it to serve as a guard. It will take a few weeks time (at least 2 and very depending on the animal) to tame or train any animal.

Plant Identification - This skill must be done on a roll and will let the animal master identify some plants and any general properties that plant may hold (host discretion). Through their connection with animals, they would have at least learned what is harmful and what isn't though most of their knowledge will lean towards it properties in regards to animals.
