I clench my teeth and realize
My world is so near it's demise
A dying sun in a poisonous sky

as the day closes out
and the night beckons near
I breathe the darkness

thoughts are sharp, and all senses keen
what things we might find
from the darkest truths I glean
night brings hidden associations and meaning
my eyes have been open, but it is now I am truly seeing
the phases of her silver white moon light
in crazes of violent lust; I pilfer the night
