Parametric acceleration III

To complete the analysis I have looked also at a horizontal and a diagonal backwards movement for the center.

In Figs 1a and 1b there is no movement of the center and are a reference for the remaining figures.

Motion of center is backwards in Figs 7a /7b through the release phase.

When the movement of the center is diagonally backwards gives a more appreciable increase in clubhead speed - 6.7 %.

In conclusion it can be said that parametric acceleration can produce a modest potential contribution to clubhead speed.

The motion of the center seems not to be very critical. Up and a bit backwards will do a nice job.

The analysis is restricted to 2D and for a real 3D golfer there is the possible additional contribution of swinging left.
