Below some 3D views for the simple case of the lead arm and clubshaft forming one unit. They are specifically generated for tongzilla. In addition to his specific request for a bird's eye view I have made up a few more just in case he might like them.

The purpose of this very simple model was to show that it is quite conceivable to have a clubhead travelling along a straight line through impact.  Some people claimed to have a very extended flat spot such as Lee Treevino and golf instructors like Mindy Blake or Phil Rodgers.
