Hold it tight, help me stand
I hold your broken promises to my heart
Its all I've ever gotten from you
I hold on as if we belonged together
I hold on to the thought of sunny weather
Though all it does is rain
And all i feel is pain
I hold on to dreams of me and you
I hold on to moments seen through and through
I hold on to little things you've said
As I lay crying in my bed
I hold on to things I wish I could let go
But my love for you just continues to grow
You release my heart to the ground
I can no longer stand, my heart begins to pound
Theres nothing left to hold on to
Here on the ground, memories are few
Your gone, my heart just continues to throb
"If only I had let go" I sob.
