It's not For Us Cupid Kids.. or Centrifuge.. or Scarlet.. or First Born.. or Linear, for that matter.... it's THE UNSAID STORY!

Send quotes that you're enjoying or lyrics or something and I'll put it up on a future separate website. It'll be fun.

Yo! Okay, so last night we played at a date rape seminar-- odd yes but it was interesting! The lecture part was informative, and Joel's djing was amazing, in all honesty. Mini-rave was fun. The setlist when something like this:

  1. Periodic
  2. Reality Versus
  3. SEW
  4. Bloody, Beautiful
  5. Artificial Light (rainer maria cover)
  6. Dear Mom, Dear Dad
  7. Got My Attention
  8. Outta Sight, Outta Mind

Thanks to all of you lovely people who came out, you made the night fantastic. And we're playing again tonight- check the shows section for details-- hope to see you there!

Love,
K.

Hello to you all-- well let's see.... band practice today... practiced the old stuff, then started in on some new things... playing two shows this upcoming weekend, and I'm already having nightmares about getting up on stage and drawing a blank on lyrics... Check out the shows page, updated, directions to the show on Saturday included.. Did a cover of Rainer Maria's "Artificial Light," which didn't sound half bad, though it is a fairly simple song.. that's about it! Pictures coming soon, I swear it, we just.. okay I just have been extremely lackadaisical. No excuses. Now go! Go and do something worthwhile! Like... make a tape for someone... or skate... go!

Love,
K.

Hey! Three weeks... that's gotta be a new record. School's started, meaning much procrastination and too much work. Homecoming's tonight, and I've yet to order my boutannaire, so um... yeah.

Check out showdates, we have a couple coming up! The cd's finished, and we're to be selling them for 7 dollars (or something like that) soon. Very soon. Just wait. (You guys seem patient....)

More to come later. (more later than sooner, most likely. But you know that.

Love,
K.

I wanted to add... thank you to miss Sarah Woodyard, for her consistently humorous words of wisdom she's written in the box right above these words. The most recent have dealt with boys, tongue rings, and sex appeal, namely, her own. Thank you again, do keep writing, all of us here in Kristin's Room are right behind you.

September 8, 2001.

Yeah, you read right. We have the name now. It's ours. (I think, until someone says, "Oh wait no that's OUR name you silly people you can't have that!") That's us. Let's see.... well we have the actual cd now!! It's almost done (going back in to do some more vocals for SEW, they didn't come out too well), and once it's all said and over with, they'll be on sale for I think 6 dollars (we need to start paying people back). I'll put up more when more information is available. As for now, I'm off to see Built to Spill!

K.

Yooo. Been awhile, sorry, I've been busy. Um, we have a name. It's the Unsaid Story. SAY NOTHING. It's that and no one's changing it!! Period. GO BUY RUFUS WAINWRIGHT. At Dingleberry's. Look for Extremely Attractive Boy At Cash Register. EABACR. Oh, and go see S.G.T. at Alterfest tomorrow, 5-7. They are an extremely talented band, The drummer, David, very very talented, goes to MVS, the others to go Alter (I think). Matt is the keyboardist, he's amazing as well. It's a Saturday night! Go away!

Hey kids. No new real news, but... still at a wall. Thought it's turned from lead to a softer metal, I don't know, lithium or sodium or something. Anyways, it's nice to have this little break. I went to a Dayton Dragon's game tonight and there was a group of ladies singing harmony to the national anthem. It made me want to sing harmony very badly. Hmm.... perhaps we can figure out some way.... Love to you all, hope your lives are preparing for the back-to-school mayhem (yeeeahhhh getting up tomorrow at 8 for an optometrist appointment at 8:30 getting school stuff at 9 and then going in to work as a temp for a bit the rest of the day.), whether you are going or watching your friends go. Bye bye.

Love,

Well, after two final days in the studio, we finished up. Yeah, that's right, we finished. Nice feeling, let me tell you. However, last night, we seem to have hit a wall. A lead wall. It seems that the name 'Linear' is being used by a band that's signed to Atlantic, soooooooo we can't. Blah. Any ideas?

Yo. Yesterday was our third day in studio, but I was a bit too tired to write anything about it last night. We spent the day writing new keyboards (Rebecca got some killer lines down) and vocals (first time I've ever not wanted to sing). Sarah came and visited, and agrees: it was a stressful day. Streeeesssful. However, we got much done; and while it should have been our last day, we still have a bit more to do, and that will be our Saturday spent together, a nice, happy little family..

August 16, 2001

First of all, bah, the little guest counter thing is a bit messed up, so we're back to zero. Blah.

Second day in studio, and, let me tell you, was it ever an exciting one! (mm... slight bit of bitterness threaded into that last comment, but, here we are.) We got there at 11, started at 12:30 (after eating muffins and tacos and the like) on "Periodic." Stopped working on "Periodic" at 4:30. While this did leave some of the members a bit bitter towards this particular song, it did lead us to our new possible demo title, "Hotdogs, cheez wiz, and fat women." (Thanks to Phil, for his ideas on the non-rockstar lifestyle.) After we fiiiiinally finished "Periodic," we hit "Reality Versus" and "SEW," and finished those by 6:30. Rebecca and myself spent most of the day talking about boys, driving, and our love for english dork websites. We did finally finish all instrumentation (except for keyboards, have yet to write those :o) on all songs, and have vocals down for "Bloody, Beautiful," "SEW," and "Outta Site, Outta Mind." Tomorrow's the lasst day.... should be pretty darn fun.

I'd like to take this opportunity to talk about what happened after we shut down at the studio. We (Peter, Daniel, me)walked out to my (rental) car (my car broke down the day after I got it, then the day after I got it back from getting fixed). I realized that my wallet was most definitely not with me. I ran desparately back into the studio, and tore through the mics, gum wrappers, and speakers to no avail. After going to and from the car twice, I found the wallet in between the seat and the door. Soooo I figure, "yay." I get behind the wheel, turn the key... or, at least, attempt to turn the key... yeah, the key's not turning. After cursing a number of times, most likely scaring Daniel and Pete by my ferocity ("she's not normally such an outspoken girl.."), I give up.. for a second.. and then turn the key as hard as possible. Vroom. Yay. So we head on out..

After I drop off Pete and Dan, I head on down the highway, and see that my brights might be on. However, I second guess myself, and figure I'm okay. It's not only til I get 5 minutes from home do I realize that yes indeed, my brights are shining and I was the source of much frustration amongst other drivers (I'm sorry!). Another thing: at one point, Sunny Day Real Estate came on, and I finally started to relax... when that station went out. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! But I made it home safely and treated myself to french fries as a reward. Blah. Well, hope you're doing well, love and the like to you all..

Love,
K.

Well kids, today was a full day of recording with Soundman Phil and Producer Denis. We went down to this studio with no handle on the front door and weird retro lighting around 2:30 and left at around 9. And we finished the instrumentals on two songs! In all honesty, it's a ton of fun, but very tiring for some odd reason. I get to sit in a small padded booth with no lighting, which is strangely comfortable. We finished up the instrumentals (minus Rebecca's keyboards) on "Got My Attention" and "Bloody, Beautiful." We get to do the drop-d trio tomorrow ("Periodic," "Reality Versus," "SEW"), my favorites, so this should be good clean fun.

Sign the guest book! That took work to put that up there! (well kinda sorta, I just like notes..) Tell us about your experiences with Mandarin Buffets (yum) or send anonymous love letters or promote tv shows. Something. I'm tired. How's this for a trade: sign the guestbook, we put you in our thank yous. Ha. (if you're on this webpage, you're probably already going in, maybe even have a song written about you :o). Have wonderful days and nights, love to all of you.

Love,
K.

If you didn't catch it, we played at the Cellar last night. We had tons of fun! We met some cool kids (hi Dan!) and played with a very talented band (Four Stack). Though we had some rough points, at least I had a hell of a time. Thanks to Erik Balster for filling in on the bass at the the last minute. We covered Weezer's El Scorcho, having played it for fun only once before (we were in need of time-fillers..). The setlist went like this:
  1. Got My Attention
  2. Periodic
  3. SEW
  4. Reality Versus
  5. Chick Magnet (MxPx cover)
  6. Bloody, Beautiful
  7. Outta Sight, Outta Mind
  8. El Scorcho (Weezer cover)
  9. Say It Ain't So (Weezer cover)

Sidenote: I went with some of my dear friends to see Radiohead live the other night. LIFE CHANGING. In all honesty, it was the best concert I've ever seen. I had third row tickets, and AHHHHHHHH it was amazing! They had to restart a song, with a messed-up drum start.. just shows that even the best screw up. :o) But they were amazing. I took 20 pictures. Not ONE came out. Not ONE. Quite, quite bothersome. Oh, and go here for a bunch of live concerts, including Rainer Maria, Bright Eyes, Promise Ring, etc. Enjoy!

Finally, the band has a name! The site's not yet truly up and running, but we hope to have pictures and lyrics and the like up. Don't expect too much, I have my license now, and I plan on being OUT! So, over the next few weeks, watch out...

The silly kids that make up this "band."

Words, fried and seasoned for your delight.

What random act of fate brought these people together?

Go here for good things elsewhere.

Tourdates (hehehe. tourdates.)

A personal page Kristin made at 4 am last night and plans on expanding.
