Why make a page dedicated to punk? Well, why NOT?
I love and respect the punk culture for not being afraid to be themselves and refusing to give in to trends or not to accept when people say "punk is dead". Punk is very much still alive and the total of concert tours, fan sites, and album sales prove it.
I hate it when people use the term "punk" like it's an insult.
I also hate the whole "who started punk" arguement. Who cares? The point is that it's here and I don't think it's going away any time soon.
Also, quit arguing over what bands are punk. Some punk bands can't help it if they're shoved into the pop category. Just because an album makes high sales doesn't make it any less punk than the indie punk bands out there.
I'm also tired of hearing everyone bitch about Avril Lavigne too. I personally don't think her music is punk but her attitude is dead on punk rock all the way. So stop bitching about her too. In the end does it really matter?
