Bio: Lady White the 84th, or White 84 as she's known to her friends, is one of the somewhat more recent members of the Jedi Academy of Earth. She is known to be a rather cheerful and energetic Jedi Knight to be around, and many enjoy her company. One of the surprising things about her, to those who don't know her well, is that she also has a fiery determination towards justice as well. She can be rather intimidating and single-minded when defending those she feels have been wronged. Hers is a passionate soul.
White 84's training and upbringing is rather interesting. Unlike
many other Earth Jedi who have been trained in the Lucasian Jedi Clan, or
the more universal cosmic order, she hails from an obscure clan known as the
Jedi of the Prism. A small order, they appeared during the beginnings
of the Great Jedi War, and had a rather distinctive class system. Depending
on the Jedi's talents, a Jedi of that order would be placed in a particular
group, or color, which represented a certain aspect of the Jedi tradition.
Blue Jedi, for example, would focus more on using the Force in battle
and would also be the researchers and scholars, Yellow Jedi would be the more
physical of the group, and would primarily be the fighters, Green Jedi would
be a higher class of guardians with a good mix of Force techniques and physical
battle prowess, and so on. The Jedi in the White group were considered
the most advanced class, and were the ones who would uphold the ideal of
order against the most powerful and malignant of foes.
The Jedi who symbolized his or her class the most would have the honor
of receiving that color as their name. White was one of the brightest
apprentices in her clan, and when she reached Knighthood would be the 84th
Jedi in her designation to earn the name of White. It may seem to be
a rather high number of Jedi for a 400 year period, but the truth is, many
of them died during the war. Presently, there are very few members
of this clan left, and fewer and fewer are continuing its traditions.
While she was one of the brightest, White 84 wasn't exactly the quintessential
Jedi of her conservative clan. Unlike her peers, she constantly questioned
the ideals that society, and even her fellow Jedi, upheld. White always
felt that truth was more than just words written in older books and tomes.
She also was more interested in justice than the order that her particular
sect was supposedly sworn to uphold. The White sect of the Jedi Prism
were known to also have a strong sense of justice, but to White, true justice
lay beyond laws defined by mortal beings. Her ideals would take her
to many places in the galaxy, where she would fight for the rights of anyone
she felt was being mistreated, abused, or wrongly accused, no matter what
the social system there. This strong belief of hers caused many debates
and disagreements between her, her peers, and her masters, and her highly
passionate self would not allow her to back down.
Finally, feeling that their views were simply too stifling for her, White
decided to venture off on her own, much to the disappointment of her clan.
Because of her knowledge, they were hoping that she would be the one
to help invigorate their order, so it would not die out in obscurity. White
advised them that their only chance for that to happen was if they opened
themselves up to new points of view. It was ironic that she would say
this, as she was devoted to some of the beliefs and theories held by another
Jedi clan, The Jedi Order of the Knights Templar.
White continued to roam the galaxy, fighting for Justice in her own impassioned
way, all the while seeking to understand the various workings of society and
their norms. She also continued to hold fast to her views on emotion;
that Jedi should seek to understand and know them rather than try to forsake
and ignore them, as many other Jedi tended to do. She noted that such
behavior usually lead them into the Darkside unknowingly. Also during
this time, she researched a few other Jedi traditions, and developed an affinity
for tattoos of various clan symbols and other markings on her body.
During these travels, White would encounter the man who would be her future
husband. A native from Earth, he was also Force sensitive, and after
their marriage, both wanted to live permanently on their home planet.
She still wanted to continue researching and upholding her Jedi path however,
and this would inevitably lead her to the Jedi Academy of Earth. She
took to it immediately, and she noticed that the Jedi there were much more
open-minded and less dogmatic than other Jedi she was used to being around.
She would also befriend and find much in common with the Jedi known
as Hellflower, a woman who was as much a fire brand in her youth as White
tended to be.
To this day, White 84 is still there, continuing to further her knowledge
of the Jedi path, while constantly deconstructing any social norms that are
discussed in her presence. She also continues her quest for justice
for any beings that are deprived of it, taking up any mission that would allow
her to do so. It is her passion for Justice and life itself that continues
to carry her through any turbulent situation that she encounters.
