Description: Few Darkside warriors are as ruthless, as cunning, as powerfull, and as brilliant as the Sith Lord known as Mal'kith. Considered to be one of the most powerfull Sith Lords of the galaxy, Mal'kith has carved a path of dark might in the outer fringes of the galaxy, and is the ruler of the largest Sith empire in the area. Despite his infamous reputation of being a ruthless conquor, destroying all those who stood in his way to power, he is also known to be an honerable man, something that is rarly associated with his fellow Sith. Above all else, Mal'kith is a man of principle, and there are actually some basic ideals that he holds strong to. Even other Jedi can't help but respect him.

No one really knows much of his origin, and even less what planet he originted from. It is generally believed that he is a Raldoovian, a species of humaniod known for the telltale bumps on their bald heads. They seem to have orginated from sevreal systems in the outer rim, an area usually populated wtih darkside practitioners. It was in such territory that Mal'kith was first heard of.

From what little has been discovered about his life, Mal'kith was trained in a small Sith clan called the "Dark King Clan", a Darkside order that was started by an Earth human called Khrunor half a century ago. Mal'kith learned his lessons well, and was turning out to be a fine student, and would make a great apprentice for a Sith Lord willing to take him. But Mal'kith surprized his elders when the time came for him to advance onto apprenticeship. He refused to take a master. The young darkside student realized a fundimental truth of his chosen way: No one could fully become a master of the Sith arts and the Darkside secrets if they were serving someone else. He felt that true mastery could be achived on one's own. His elders, outraged by this statement, declared that if he refused, he would face harsh punishment, and even death. Mal'kith calmly raised his lightsabre and dared them to try. A horrible fight resulted, and the elders, as well as the other dark warrors, found out the hard way just how much the youth had learned. He carved a bloodly path to freedom, and after escaping, the elders decreed that he was no longer considered part of their clan, and that he should be hunted down and killed.

Mal'kith had other plans however. Already his cunning mind had prepared for his future with skillfull calculation. Unknown to his masters, he had been researching the whereabouts of a lost Sith temple, The Temple of Inner Shadows. It was known to be a vast storehouse of Sith history and archane secrets, the holy grail of ancient darkside knowledge. Mal'kith longed to go there and partake of the power it could give him, and he soon was able to calculate it's location. Upon arriving there, the archive keeper welcomed the youth, telling him that anyone able to find the location of the temple, as well as survived the hazzardous journey, deserved to have free access to the tomes within. Mal'kith eagarly began his studies. He knew that his conquests were only a matter of time....

After feeling that he had learned as much as he needed to, Mal'kith soon left the temple, and immediately began to carve out a name for himself. One by one, he began dispatching Sith warlords in various sections of the galaxy, testing and honing his skills. His might and dominance slowly became apparent to the other Sith, and the few who would escape would speak of the young Sith's terrible powers and lethal sabreplay. The Jedi who would sometimes encounter him would later speak of his awesome cunning and brilliant battle strategy. They would also speak of his "odd" code of ethics. Despite the fact that Mal'kith was on the road to domination, he was also fighting against the most currupt and vile of the Sith lords, as well as pirates, bandits, and other scum. Some Jedi just didn't care and tried to go up against him anyway, only to be soundtly defeated, But he hardly ever killed a Jedi, unless there was no other option. He would rather they live on with their humiliation. Because of these principles, many Jedi would end up joining with him on certian quests, and he would slowly begin to earn the respect of many Jedi in the galaxy. This was all part of his plan however: he knew that it was much easier for him for conquor, and his empire to flurish, if the Jedi didn't see him as an enemy. Despite himself though, he ended up befrending two Jedi in the prosess; Baal Legato, and his wife, Lark Keddar, two Earth Jedi who were roaming the galaxy. They ended up being his closest friends, something the Sith Lord is hard pressed to admit.

After many duels, battles, and conquests, Mal'kith had a large following behind him. Most were from systems that were dominated by cruel warlords, gratfull that he had freed them from tyrany, and more than happy to support him. He was now in command of an army full of loyal troopers and fighter pilots, as well as darkside alcolytes. There was just one more warlord he had to take down, a woman named Dornalia. However, he had something else to take care of first...his old "friends" from his clan. Despite pleading from his followers not to, he set out after them alone. This was to be his revenge.

The Clan had known of his ativities already, and had sent Sith warrors after him over the years. None came back alive. Now he was coming after them, and unfortunatly, they didn't even know it. His decent upon them was completely unexpected, and to say that his revenge was swift and final is an understatement. In a wave of controled chaos, he single-handedly wiped them out.

This done, he went on after Dornalia. She was expecting him though, and had a force of her own waiting for him. The battle lasted three days (Earth standard), and it first it looked like he was going to lose. But once again his cunning mind prevailed, and he found a way to turn the tide. Dornalia and Mal'kith would later face each other in lightsabre combat. Despite her feared Night Raven sword style she was soon defeated, and when offered the chance to surrender, she killed herself rather than face that dishoner.

All the territories he had carved his way through all willing to follow him, and so, Mal'kith established his empire. Unlike other Sith Lords before him however, he appointed several goveners for each system to hold carefull watch over them, and to maintain order. They all are members of a special senate that meets every two months to discuss imperial matters. His rule is actually a peacefull one; though he rules with an iron fist, it is mostly relaxed, and he is determined that all citizens under his rule remain comfortable. Comfortable citizens don't rebel.

Because of the system he set up, he doesn't have to be watching over his empire at all times, and every now and then travels to the galaxy for a change of scenery. One of his common stops is the Jedi Academy of Earth, established by his old friend Baal Legato. He is well known there, mostly for his sharp mind in debates, as well as his sharp tounge. Mal'kith was never one to deal kindly with the ignorant and the foolish. This has put him at odds with a Sith upstart named Bross Karte, a brash young darksider who the older Lord considers uncooth and a cretin. Karte in turn has no love for the "snobbish old man", and it is believed by many that sooner or later, the two may cross blades.

Mal'kith remains an inigma to most people. The truth is, despite his claim to power and his devotion to the Sith arts, the dark warrior does beleive that there should be peace in the galaxy...as long as he is one of the people providing that peace.
