Bio: Jedi Lowell is a highly skilled swordsman, totally dedicated to his path of the lightsabre. He is also totally commited to teaching the art, as well as furthering it's development in any way he can.

Lowell originally trained in the Lucasian Order. He was a very good student, and picked up on the nuances of the Force, particulary the body control skills. It was soon realized that his talent and focus was on combat, particularly lightsabre fighting. This in itself was no major concern to the Lucasian masters; they'd just assumed he would be a very good Jedi Guardian, a rank that they developed for their more combat oriented students. What did concern them, was the style he wanted to stay in, and how far he wanted to develop it.

Lowell had a preferance for Form II. A major preference. Unlike the other forms, it was known for it's heavy emphasis on blade to blade combat, and was the most sophisticated. Countless Lucasian fighting masters had developed and utilized it over the years of the Jedi War. However, by the time Lowell entered the Order many years after the war ended, the style had ceased to be as highly prized. Because of it's heavy emphais in combat and defeating the opponent, many present masters felt it was not a good style for a Jedi to stay comited to, since to them, the futher development of suprieor combat ability was something of a darkside nature, and something that only a well trained Jedi Master should attempt.

Lowell however, didn't let those opinions deter him, and soon became one of the best Jedi Form II fighters. He made it a priority to learn just about every variation of it that he could, from the twin blade variants, to the rare "stright line" styles that were first developed way back in thed days of the 7 Form's creation. He was at the top of his classes, combat wise, and many of his peers began to seek him out for further devolpent of their own combat skills.

it wasn't until he started trying to develop and promote Form II futher that he ran into some resistance from his Lucasian Mentors. They felt that a Jedi should focus more on schollarly and diplomatic fields. While Lowell didn't dispute that a Jedi knight was a champion of peace, he also felt that it made no sense to negate combat skills, since they'd need them to fight aganist the forces that threatend the peace they championed.

In the end, Lowell did what many other combat experts in the present Lucasian Order did: he left. Without his old mentors to hinder his efforts, he would be able to further his studies in his sword arts more freely. However, he still felt a major yearning to teach and share what he knew.

He would soon have his chance. Very soon after his sepreation from his old Order, he would meet the Jedi Knight known as Baal Legato, the headmaster of his own Jedi Academy. He was always looking for good Jedi instructors, and asked Lowell if he didn't mind teaching his skills there. As it was a more open minded school, with lots of different approaches to teaching and sharing knowledge, as well as many different traditions there, he gladly accepted.

Lowell would teach his lightsabre arts there for 3 years along side the head combat instructor Lark Keddar. While there, he continued to research and add onto what he knew of Lucasian Form II Lightsabre combat, adding a huge amount of valuable information to the files and achives of the Earth academy. There would soon be a large number of great sword fighters to come out of that school, thanks to his efforts. He also would lend his services on many a mission that the Academy knights would be called upon.

However, it would not be enough for him. Lowell was beginning to worry that lightsabre fighting skills were languishing, thanks to the growing negative attitiudes that the Lucasian order had towards fighting. While there were many other Jedi clans and organizations that didn't share in those attitides, and the Jedi Academy of Earth was a major instiution that rivaled his old one, he felt that there needed to be a bigger push to perserve what the lightsabre masters of old developed. So he decided to develop his own lightsabre combat school, open to both Jedi and other force sensitives interested in training in Form II swordmanship. Baal understood his feelings, and Lowell parted from the Academy with no hard feelings. Many would miss him, and strong ties would soon be built between the huge Jedi praxeum and his smaller combat school, which would be named "Hall of the Gentle Knights's Blade".

Many Form II masters and adepts would soon flock to his humble training hall, eagar to be able to once again train with like minded individuals without any hinderances whatsoever. Ironically, it would not be in the Lucasian Order, but in his training hall that Form II would continue to be developed to it's highest degree. To this day, it is regarded as the best place to learn that style. Jedi Academy mentors tend to send aspiring students there to train it it, and the school tends to send it's instructors there every now and then for formal classes.

Lowell continues to train, teach, and research his prefered sword art. He also continues to lend a hand on missions that the Academy finds itself having to deal with. Most Jedi are glad to have him around, as they know if things go the wrong way, he'd more than be able to help right things, as well as take care of himself... and anyone else besides.
