Bio: Young Fiona Kamino grew up on Corellia, with her gas prospecter
father, and her Dathomirian trained mother. She had an older sister, Lindsay
(18 years old, now). From an early age, Fiona knew she was different. Fiona
was a Force sensitive, a rare trait to be born with on the planet Corellia,
which was home to mostly baseline humans. Because of this, she was
more sensitive to things than those around her, and thust give rher a different
persoective on things. This would cause her some hardship with other
children, for because of her being different in both her behavior and thoughts,
she was bullied mercilessly by her peers, even from a very young age.
Because of this she became a problem child by ten years of age, picking fights
with the kids in her class. Her attachment to the Force would allow
her to subconciously work on the other children's fears, as well as alert
her to any who might try to start something with her. In the meantine,
her mother's friend, also a Force sensitive, and learned in the ways of the
Dathomir tradition from Earth, taught her a little of way of life, hoping
that it would take Fiona away from the turbulent parth she was begining to
forge for herself.
At the age of 11, the family had to move to Coruscant, because her Mother
had found a job working with the Galactic Federation. Her behaviour continued
right on, until a Jedi Master visited her school, a year later. His
calm passive nature struck a cord within her, and she was able to sense his
connection to the Force the same way he was able to sense hers. Old
memories of how she used to be came back to her. Taking notice of the
child, and senseing the rising emotions within her, the Jedi Master took
her aside later that day to talk. Convincing her of the light still
deep inside, Fiona decided to renounced her aggressive way of life, and sought
out a more peacefull way of life. Realizing her talents, the Jedi told
her of the Jedi Academy of Earth, a place he felt she could be well mentored
in her inborn abilities. Eager for this, Fiona began to plead to her
parents to send her there, and a year later, when she was 13, her wish was
granted. Fiona would finally arrive at the Jedi Academy on a late night,
in the middle of winter, December 18th.
The condition given by her parents was that she could only stay at the
Academy for a few breif moments of time, every few weeks or so, for she still
had to finish her formal education on Coruscant. Still, she would
be able to form ties and friendships at the Jedi institution. The first
Jedi she met was Mr. McGrif, whom she trusted from that night on. Soon after,
she met Jedi Hellflower, Ezra, and Daean Kett. Sensing the good deep within
each of them, Fiona learned to trust them, too. As time went on, She began
to feel a deep binding trust and warmth towards Daean Kett in particular,
worrying for him if he was away for long periods of time.
Later on, Fiona joined the Padawan Study Rooms, under Ezra Kye's watchful
eye. She soon struck up a friendship with Alora Yume, whom, to this very
day, is still dear to Fiona.
Just before the annual Dathomirian Traditional Celebration of Yule (a festival
of lights), Fiona was offered an apprenticeship, by the honorable Jedi, known
affectionatly by many as Captain Spunk. Thinking it over for a day or so,
Fiona accepted his offer, and became his Padawan. Mixing her Dathomirian
teachings with the Jedi lessons that Spunk would give her, she soon became
a very talented Force Adept.
Outside of the Jedi Academy, however, trouble was brewing. During her second
year of highschool, Fiona had met a charming young man named William, and
he had brought her into his circle of friends. In love with him from the
day they met, the two eventually realised their feelings on Valentines Day,
two years later. But, by then, tears were starting to form in the group with
which Fiona was affiliated. Often, the group would tease Fiona, and use her
for her kind heart. Eventually, after a further year, Fiona stood up for
her feelings, and was outcasted. This hurt her dearly, because of her
highly sensitive nature, but because of her Jedi and Dathomirian training,
she was able to move on from it. However, because of all her experiences
so far, Fiona now feels very much a loner. Her Jedi Master, Captain Spunk,
is highly certain that one day, she will meet somebody who will treat her
right.
Fiona is a sweet and highly sensitive young woman with a love for peace,
good times, and lots of hugs. Always trying to keep a positive spin
on things and bringing as much cheer to people's lives as she can, she hates
to see harm come to anyone. She can't stand conflict, and is always
saddened by it whenever it occurs. This may seem strange, as she is
trained in a few forms of Jedi unarmed martial arts, but she only studies
such things because of her appreciation for the Jedi arts, and not to cause
any harm towards others. She'd rather not hurt anyone at all, which
is why she has had no intentions of ever making a lightsabre. It's
because of these things and more that many of the Jedi at the Academy tend
to be very overprotective of her.
On the few missions she's been on, Fiona servers as a computer tech, a
healer, and a medium. Her talents of far sight and clairvoyance have
helped out the Jedi many times before, even though she is sometimes disturbed
by the images she might see. Still, as long as she is able to help
in anyway, she will always be willing and ready, only asking for payment
in as many hugs asn she can get.
