Daean is a very skilled fighter pilot, having proven his skills fighting against Darksiders in the outer fringes of the galaxy, as well as a civil war on his homeworld. He is also a philosopher, a writer, an artist, and musician.
Bio: The Jedi Master known as Daean Kett is one of the most well-known Jedi at the Jedi Academy of Earth. He is also well known in many parts of the galaxy as well. Charming, intellectual, bold, and kind-hearted, he is revered and well-liked by many Jedi, masters, knights and apprentices alike. He is also something of an enigma, as his vast and varied experiences have given him many perspectives on life.
His is a rich history. Raised on the planet of Chandrila, Daean was indoctrinated into the ways of the Jedi Knights at an early age. He served under the Lucasian Order, one of the largest Jedi clans to come from Earth. While very little is known of his early days, he was supposedly a very talented and bright student, mastering his lessons very quickly.
One of Daean's first-known exploits was during a civil war. By and large, the details of his deeds are unknown, but it was said that his skills as a great fighter pilot were honed during that time, as well as his unusual and deadly blend of the Form II and IV lightsabre fighting styles of his order. After that conflict, he headed out to the fringes of the galaxy, fighting against the evil warlords and dark side warriors that were terroizing the systems there. His Jedi powers and skills continued to flourish and mature, and he was soon known as a powerful Jedi Knight. Interestingly enough, the lightsabre blade he used was a red one, contrasting the blue and green blades his fellow Lucasian Jedi tended to use. Even at an early age, Daean was always one to break through stereotypes and basic assumptions, which would put him at odds with his peers from time to time.
Daean would later roam the galaxy, furthering his knowledge of the Force through philosophy, meditation, and self reflection. He also would help anyone in need, and every now and then would would fight some battle or other. His experiences out in the galaxy were numerous, and accounts of his exploits are still cropping up.
Daean would soon be invited to stay at the Jedi Academy of Earth for a while by an old friend, Baal Legato. Daean found that he liked teaching there, and also enjoyed interacting with the other Jedi who dwelled and traveled there. He would later set up residence nearby, and after being chosen as a faculty member, would become a permanant icon at the institution. The many interactions with Jedi from other various backgrounds, clans, and orders gave him even further insights into the Jedi Way, and it gave him even more of an incentive to be more open-minded than his Lucasian peers. He soon made a green-bladed lightsabre to symolize this new shift in perspective. Still, there are certain basic principles of the Lucasian way that he still clings to, which makes him a little more conservative than most of the Jedi there, especialy the Faculty. This has rarely caused a conflict with others though, and most of the time, his teachings are well recived. Still, a few disagreements have happened from time to time, one of the more notable resulting in one faculty member, Ezra Kye, actually resigning her position. However, Daean took it in stride, knowing that people all have their own paths to walk.
To this day, Daean remains an important and powerful figure in the Jedi Academy, as well as in the ranks of the Jedi Knights. His unique views and insights on the Force, as well as his powers and fighting skills, continue to set an example for other rising Jedi, as well as aid and serve the people he has sworn to protect.
