Today is the most angry day in my life. Not only does my webmastering teacher approve the idea of me putting a pentagram on my halloween project webpage, but when it was all said and done he has told me that it is ojectional and will not be allowed. First thing, he said it was a satanic symbol, which in the first place is not. It has to be upside down for that. Second, this website is supposed to be appropriate to 7th graders, and I seriously doubt that even if it was a satanic emblem, they would have no knowledge of it whatsoever. Now I don't want to get off on a rant here, but censorship, to this degree atleast, has got to stop. He treated my piece of artistic freedom like I stuck a big penis on the page. I chose this image because it is awesome looking and it matched the halloween decor. If you go around trying to censor stuff that's supposed to represent halloween, then you might as well not have the project at all. To take away anything objectional on a halloween project would basically narrow it down to a couple of words and a picture of an uncarved pumpkin. Listen here, jack off! The only thing being censored in this project is my freedom to make a good looking halloween project. And you know who's fault it's gonna be when my project gets a low content grade? You, you uppity [expletive-deleted]. Maybe you're just trying to save your own job by not allowing me to display an "objectionable image." But perhaps there are more important things in life. If more people would stop trying to save people's souls by choosing what they will and won't see and hear for them, then maybe this country would mature a little bit and stop freaking out every time a child's butt appears in a diaper commercial and they try and sue them for child pornography. Everybody argues that we are more technologically advanced than anywhere else in the world, excluding perhaps Japan. But what good does any advances do if we can't handle our own maturity. Every other country in this world is mature enough to accept life as it comes, why can't America grow up a little a learn that we can't play God with people's viewing and listening rights. It's the same things as trying to pick what somebody wears. The next thing that happens is that we'll be trying to control how people think. Then the entire point of the constitution would be completely pointless because we'd all be robots. But that wouldn't matter, because smut, and cussing, and every unorthodox belief would be completely diminished. So the world would be much better(sarcastic). Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
