Some of the school's rules are so ridiculous that it's appauling that they would think we would agree to them without some kind of argument. Well, they were right for the most part. But unlike my classmates and cohorts, I'll speak my mind about this type of thing. Well, the first thing is that they have surf block, which is all good to keep us out of porn so we don't have freshman wacking off in the library. But blocking us from our e-mail and not allowing us to play games is just plain stupid. We do get bored in class you know. Plus, not alot of us get the chance to check our e-mail at home(I'm an exeption, however) because the school loads people up with homework rather than taking care of what they need to in class like they should be. Irresponsibility, in my opinion, on the teacher's part. The next, and by far the stupidest thing yet, is the coin-operated printer. "Because of budget cuts in the literary department, they were forced to make us pay 10 cents per page for printing, because they simply don't have the money to buy paper for students to use in the library." Bull [expletive-deleted]!!! Not only did every student have to bring a ream of paper for almost every class, so that everybody would have enough paper to print, but rather than spending money on paper for the library so everybody could use it, they bought a big [expletive-deleted] machine to charge us for printing, and it probably cost more than all the paper the students would use in the library anyways. If you want my opinion, this excuse is just a ploy for the school to make more money ripping off the students, just like they always have. For years I've heard about this school's little deals with "stealing" money from the students. Listen to this: not only do the cheerleaders and other such organizations have to pay for their uniforms, but they also have to give them back to the school after football season is over. So why are they paying for them? Not to mention our coke machines charge us 85 cents to get a sodi-pop, but if you stand in line for a longer time(much more inconvenient I must say) it costs more. I think that if you have to stand in line for a [expletive-deleted] hour, then they should be giving you the drink free, or at least cheaper. Jesus christ people! When is the school gonna learn that ripping off students is just plain wrong. Fund raisers are all good if you need to make money for organizations or graduation or what-have-you. But when you are taking money out of the pockets of defenseless minors, it's the same thing as taking candy from a baby. What would people think if you walked up to a two-year old and took his sucker away and just laughed as it cried? People wouldn't be too happy. Of course, people don't seem to care that they are ripping us off though. We're old enough to know how to manage our money wisely. yeah right! We don't manage our money wisely. The school takes care of our money for us, because in the end it all becomes their anyways. So one day when your children are in schoo and you have to pay 10 cents per page for everything they print, remember that Zer0 told you so. In my opinion, the school should be informed of these things. The fact of the matter is though, that we're not the only school who does this. It happens everywhere, so the only real way to stop this farse of a school system from taking money from innocent people is for the government to take some sort of action and make a law against it like selling stuff to students whole-sale. But nothing like that will ever happen in a million years, because, like I said, not many people seem to care that they are getting ripped-off, and the government is so busy right now with the anti-terrorism thing that they are completely blind to any other causes that they could be of help to. So in closing, I'd like to send a message to anybody who reads this: tell your school these arguments that I have just given you(of course, not so explicitely) and see who else you can get to do it. Maybe if more schools could learn that they are doing somehting bad, then maybe, just maybe the world would be a better place. Of course that's just my opinion, the school is wrong.
I wanna know what kinda feedback you have for me. Tell me what you think.
