Now, I could be wrong on this, but with an exception of the summer movie releases, which are exceptionally good, it is a rare case to find any movies these days with any entertainment value whatsoever. These days going to the movies is about as entertaining as watching Wilford Brimley reading a transcript from the Oprah Winfrey Show. The cinema is basically just sitting in a crappy chair with holes in it, with so much sticky substances on the ground, that you would think an elephant just nutted in the theatre while watching a movie that you can't keep up with. It's like being in a porno theatre without the entertainment. Let's face it folks, all the good movie today lie in independent film writers. The people who do this because they like it, not because it's poppy or will win them an Oscar. They do stuff that they think is funny. They do what they think is action packed. They do what they think is dramatic. And the fact of the matter is that they are the people too! They aren't rich, money grubbing movie-makers. They are film school grads who want all the same things we do. Only they have control of the camera. So if you wanna see boring film in a bad enviroment, by all means waste 6 bucks on a movie ticket. If you wanna see a quality film, well, make a bag of popcorn and invite Kevin Smith and Quentin Tarantino for a replay of the 2001 Sundance Film Festival. Of course that's just my opinion, and I know I'm right.
