Many people believe that the newfound patriarchy in our country is a true sign of union amongst our citizens. That is not it at all. It is spoiled and rotten to the point that it is sickening. I was watching the news yesterday and they said they were having a report about people selling flags for more money than they are worth(though their value can be argued). This truely is a sign of what I was talking about, but right after they said this they committed their own attrocity. They were plugging a special report about how to avoid terrorist attacks when you go to an airport, and that it's not to be missed. Now maybe it's just me, but it sounds like they are trying to take advantage of this tragedy in order get ratings and make more money. This particular channel didn't even bother to donate anything to the relief funds. People who make decisions like this are sick, I can understand they have to get business back as usual, but don't take advantage of this tragedy. I applaud channels like CNN that air commercial-free about these incidents and don't try to sell these lame special reports so that they can make more money from the deaths of thousands upon thousands of people. And people are attacking anybody who are of mid-eastern descent. It's ridiculous. They have about as much claim to be patriots as the Ku Klux Klan does. Most of those people moved here to escape the hardships of the middle-east only to be falling victim to a lack of civil rights here in America. Home of the free indeed. Home to those who are free to pick on anybody they want simply because they don't like a small group of people from their country. Listen people, if you want to attack somebody from the middle-east and you want to claim you're a patriot, then join the army and take care of the people who did this and quit taking your anger out on innocent people. You don't see me beating up every white person because a white guy broke into my house, but just because one sick [expletive deleted] tries to kill us all, you try to be heroes by picking on every dune coon in sight. So in closing I'd like to say: Hang a flag, and say a prayer. Don't go ripping off victims and beating up Arabs in stores. Just buy the jerky by the counter and put the troubles behind you.
