Welcome to the Mwap Multiplayer Paint Sets

This is an attempt to provide Alternate Front & Historical sets that can be used in Multiplayer RB3D, including flyable 2 seaters & bombers and fighter/scout aircraft paints.

These sets can be downloaded and installed to allow you to see aircraft
& paint schemes that were used on different fronts during WWI (eg the Italian & Russian Fronts). There are also other non-historical sets of paints that can be downloaded & used in these folders (eg USMC, Australian & Japanese sets).
They may, or may not, include replacement aircraft 3D models to allow you to see extra Fighters/Scouts & Bombers/2 Seaters that were not available to fly in the original Red Baron Multiplayer Game. These paints can be used in general MMP play or online wars/events that want an historic setting.

Download these Zip files and extract them into your Sierra/RedBaron folder with
the "Use Folder Names" option checked. For more info on how to do this,
refer to the Paint Info page.

The paint and/or 3D model files for these sets will be installed into a Mwap sub-folder that is within the Sierra/RedBaron/Paint/Mwap folder. Also installed into the main Mwap folder will be the readme text files relating to each set. Included in the readme file will be the paintcfg file code lines required to see the paints online.

This was previously the GumpHS set of paints, which have now been included under the new Mwap project. This version includes new Bombers & 2 Seaters &,
with many thanks to WillVonBill, now use's 'Dirty Bird' style skins.

This download will create a folder named GumpHS in your Seirra/RedBaron/Paint directory.
Within that there will be a number of sub-folders. Also included will be 3 text files, one is a readme that explains everything you need to know for using these paints and includes the required paintcfg file code lines.
The other two are copies of a table in both MS Wordpad & Lotus Wordpro format.
These tables show you which plane/ID# combination will give you which paints or replacement Bomber/2 Seater Models in the General Purpose Set.
It is the same tables shown below.
(ID#'s 81- 86)

The replacement 2 Seaters/Bombers do not have working rear gunners.
If they did you would not be able to use them in a secure server.
If you still what to try having a rear gunner, there is a patch available on

This set adds new 3D model files for all the Fighter & Scouts in the MwapGP~v2 paint set. These should not be added unless you have a high end PC and a good graphics card, as they may affect your frame rates while playing online.

Here are my own custom paint sets for use in the Single player or Online Multi-player Games. I've tried to have a bit of 'fun' with these, the set includes a Spad XIII painted in Ferrari F1 colors, a Sopwith Pup in US Navy Blue Angel livery and a Sopwith Camel painted as a XXXX Beer Can !!!.

 To be able to see these Paints, you will need to add the lines listed below to your Paintcfg.ini file. The Squad ID Number (24) is not an official Flybert Number, however, as far as I know, it does not clash with any Squads ID#..
