Archduke Heinrich of Austria died on 20 March.


[He was born at Munich on 7 January 1925, son of Archduke Maximilian of Austria (1895-1952) and of his wife, Princess Franziska zu Hohenlohe-Waldenburg-Schillingsfürst, von Ratibor u.Corvey (1897-1989). Since 1961 he had been married to Ludmilla Gfn von Galen. He is survived by her and by their four children and their families.] (added 16 Apr 2014)

Prince Amedeo of Belgium, Archduke of Austria-Este (son of Archduke Lorenz of Austria-Este and his wife, Princess Astrid of Belgium) married Elisabetta Maria Rosboch von Wolkenstein (daughter of Ettore Rosboch von Wolkentein and of his wife, née Countess Lilia de Smecchia) on 5 July. Fabiola, Queen of the Belgians, died at Brussels on 5 December. The funeral is scheduled of 12 December. She was born Doña Fabiola Mora y Aragón at Madrid on 11 June 1928. In 1960 she married Baudouin, King of the Belgians (1930-1993). They had no children. (added 6 Dec 2014)





Alexander James Spearman (son of Lochain Alexander Spearman, of the Baronets Spearman, and Pilin de Garrigues Carnicer) is to marry Princess Amélia of Orléans-Bragança (daughter of the Prince Antônio of Orléans-Bragança and of his wife, Princess Christine de Ligne) on 16 August at Rio de Janeiro. Countess Anne-Dorthe af Rosenborg died at Gentofte on 2 January.


[She was born at Copenhagen on 3 October 1947, and since 1971 had been married to Count Christian af Rosenborg (1942-2013), born Prince of Denmark, son of Prince Knud of Denmark (1900-1976) and of his wife, Pss Caroline Mathilde of Denmark (1912-1995). Prince François d'Orléans (b.1982, son of Prince Michel d'Orléans, Cte d'Evreux [himself a son of Henri, Comte de Paris, and of his wife, née Princess Isabelle of Orléans-Braganza], and of his wife, née Beatrice de Pasquier de Franclieu) married Therese von Einsiedel (b.1984, daughter of Curt-Hildebrand von Einsiedel and of his wife, née Princess Amelie von Urach [herself the daughter of Prince Eberhard von Urach and of his wife, née Princess Iniga von Thurn und Taxis]) on 25 July, followed by a religious wedding at Straubing on 26 July. Prince Jean d’Orléans, Duc de Vendôme (son of Prince Henri d’Orléans, Comte de Paris, and of his first wife, née Duchess Maria Theresa of Württemberg, later Duchesse de Montpensier) and his wife, Philomena de Tornos y Steinhart, had their third child, Louise-Marguerite, on 30 July. Michael James Tindall and his wife, née Zara Phillips (daughter of Mark Phillips and of Princess Anne of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Princess Royal) had their first child, Mia Grace, at Royal Gloucestershire Hospital, on 17 January. (updated 23 Jan 2014)

Lord Nicholas Windsor (son of Prince Edward of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Duke of Kent, and of his wife, née Katharine Worsley) and his wife, née Paola Doimi de Frankopan (daughter of Don Louis and Donna Ingrid Doimi de Frankopan) had their third child, Louis Arthur Nicholas Felix, on 27 May. Prince William of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Duke of Cambridge (son of Prince Charles of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Prince of Wales [himself the son of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of her husband Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, Prince of Greece and Denmark], and of his late former wife, née Lady Diana Spencer) and his wife, née Catherine Middleton, are expecting their second child in 2015.





Prince Moritz von Hohenzollern (b.1980, son of Prince Ferfried von Hohenzollern and of his second wife, Eliane Etter) married Heidi Rodriguez at Cartagena De Indias, Colombia, on 15 March. (added 16 Apr 2014)





Prince Félix of Luxemburg (b.1984, son of Grand Duke Henri of Luxemburg) and his wife, née Claire Lademacher, had their first child, Amalia Gabriela Maria Teresa, at Luxemburg on 15 June. (updated 15 Jun 2014)





The religious wedding of Andrea Casiraghi (son of the late Stefano Casiraghi and of Princess Caroline of Monaco, Princess of Hannover) and Tatiana Santo Domingo took place at Gstaad on 1 February. They were married civilly at Monaco on 31 August 2013. (added 1 Feb 2014)


Prince Albert II of Monaco and his wife, née Charlene Wittstock, had their first children, twins: Gabriella Thérèse Marie, comtesse de Carladès, and Jacques Honoré Rainier, marquis des Baux, at Monte Carlo on 10 December. (updated 10 Dec 2014)





Comte Axel de Chavagnac and his wife, Duchess Tatjana of Oldenburg (daughter of Duke Johann of Oldenburg and of his wife, née Ilka Gräfin zu Ortenburg) had their second child, Astrid, at Paris on 31 January. (added 24 Feb 2014)


Anton-Günther, Duke of Oldenburg, died at Güldenstein on 20 September.


[He was born at Lensahn on 16 January 1923, son of Nikolaus, Hereditary Grand Duke of Oldenburg (1897-1970) and of his first wife, née Princess Helene zu Waldeck und Pyrmont (1899-1948). Prince Jaime of Bourbon-Parma (son of the late Duke Carlos Hugo of Bourbon-Parma and his wife, Princess Irene of the Netherlands) and his wife, née Viktoria Cservenyak had their first child, Zita Clara, at Amsterdam on 21 February. (updated 21 Feb 2014)


Albert Brenninkmeijer and Princess Maria Carolina of Bourbon-Parma, Marchesa di Sala (daughter of Prince Carlos Hugo of Bourbon-Parma and of his former wife, Princess Irene of the Netherlands) had their first child, Alaïa-Maria Irene Cecile, at Zürich on 20 May. (updated 23 May 2014)


Princess Yolande of Bourbon-Parma, née Princess de Broglie-Revel, died on 2 September.


[She was born at Paris on 26 April 1928, daughter of Prince Joseph Marie Raymond Louis de Broglie-Revel (1892-1953) and of his wife, née Marie Marguerite Henriette Isaure de La Cour de Balleroy (1901-1976). In 1951 she married Prince Michel of Bourbon-Parma; they separated in 1966, and divorced in 1999. Prince Michael of Prussia died on 3 April.


[He was born at Berlin on 22 March 1940, son of Prince Louis Ferdinand of Prussia (1907-1994) and his wife, Grand Duchess Kira of Russia (1909-1967). He was married firstly, from 1966 until 1982, to Jutta Jörn. James Tollemache (b.1980, son of Timothy John Edward Tollemache, 5th Lord Tollemache, and his wife, née Alexandra Dorothy Jean Meynell) married Princess Florence of Prussia (b.1983, daughter of Prince Frederick Nicholas of Prussia and his wife, née Hon. Princess Benigna Reuss and her husband, Oscar de Ascoz y Planes, had their second child, Luis María del Pilar Antonio de Padua Vicente Ferrer Roque Pedro Félix Adolf Friedrich Franz Heinrich Carl Gustaf del Santísimo Sacramento y Todos los Santos, at Madrid on 26 December. Prince Nikolai Romanov died on 15 September.

Hereditary Prince Hubertus of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (son of Prince Andreas of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha and his wife née Carin Dabelstein) and his wife, née Kelly Rondestvedt, had their first child, Katharina Victoria Elizabeth Cheryl, on 30 April. (updated 30 Apr 2014)


Prince Philipp August Ferdinand of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha died on 18 September.

Juan Filiberto Gomez-Acebo y de Borbón, Visconde de la Torre (b.1969, son of Luis Gomez-Acebo y de Estrada and of his wife, Infanta Maria del Pilar of Spain, Duquesa de Badajoz [herself the daughter of Infant Juan of Spain, Conde de Barcelona )1913-1993) and of his wife, Princess Maria de las Mercedes of Bourbon-Two Sicilies (1910-2000])) married Winston Holmes Carney at Miami, Florida, on 2 January 2014. Christopher O’Neill and his wife, Princess Madeleine of Sweden (younger daughter of King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden) had their first child, a daughter, at New York on 20 February. It was announced on 26 February that her name is Leonore Lilian Maria, and that she bears the titles Princess of Sweden, Duchess of Gotland. The couple are expecting their second child in summer 2015 (updated 29 Dec 2014)


The engagement was announced between Prince Carl Philip of Sweden (son of King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and of Queen Silvia) and Sofia Hellqvist. The wedding is to be in Stockholm on 13 Jun 2015. (updated 23 Oct 2014)


Gustaf Magnuson (son of Tord Magnuson and his wife, Princess Kristina of Sweden) and his wife, née Vicky Andrén, had their first child, a daughter, on 11 July. (added 19 Jul 2014)


Princess Kristine Bernadotte, née Rivelsrud, died on 4 November. She had married in 1978 Prince Carl Bernadotte (1911-2003), born Prince of Sweden, son of Prince Carl of Sweden (1861-1951) and of his wife, Princess Ingeborg of Denmark (1878-1958). (added 10 Nov 2014)





Princess Maria Margarita of Bourbon-Two Sicilies died at Madrid on 15 January.


[She was born at Warsaw on 16 November 1934, daughter of Prince Gabriele of Bourbon-Two Sicilies (1897-1975) and his second wife, Princess Cecilia Lubomirska (1907-2001).
